We are really going on with this? I mean after 50 pages, just attacking each other starts to get a bit dull, don't you think?

I think everyone sees that. Most of the last few pages are tring to guess a spell. What we need is a twist, that'll force the teams to come together and defeat. A really powerful monster, that is an NPC or something.

well we wont have to worry about armor of the gods and touch of ghosts, due to the immunity from ridiculosly powerful spells

Armour of gods maybe, but touch of ghosts is a perfectly standard spell. 5 level clerics can cast it.
