Re: What's your favorite headcanon?
Absolute nonsense.
There's a difference between a wheel or a gun or how to ride a horse and cracking an alien computer that's non binary, isn't coded in a known spoken language, isn't coded in a known code language and may not even work under our usual methods of electricity and magnets. What if they use organic tech, or work under principles we haven't even discovered? What if they use materials we don't know how to synthesize. You are grossly misunderstanding how complicated technology gets from the level we're at now.

Re: What's your favorite headcanon?
Again, Bruce's parents managed to reverse-engineer kryptonian tech back when super man was just a baby and they weren't even anywhere close to super genius.
And DCverse has plenty of super human genius, and even nameless engineers from the evil corporations manage to make do with all sorts of alien tech all the time.
You grossly understimate human ability to copy and reverse-engineer stuff. It took millenia to create the first languages and codes and planes and computers, but from there you can teach new kids how to do it in a matter of years. Heck, the best kids learn it on their own simply by being good observers.

Re: What's your favorite headcanon?
This is your argument's only saving grace. Hypertech genius is at least one per corperation, but it's not like you'd be able to do it with normal people.
Related note. I remember watching some alternate history hub where the dude said we couldn't recover from 'independence day' and adopt alien tech because we wouldn't have the infastructure with some of our largest cities destroyed.
Given that there was a list of cities that were destroyed, I think not. Maybe where he's from large cities are everything and lesser cities aren't, but in much of the world non-capitals have good industrial production and scientific areas. If britain lost only london, it'd still have 20+ industrially adept cities. Hell, most of British manufacturing isn't in london. I'd imagine that's true for a lot of europe.
Then again, a computer virus would need years, so humanity would've lost that first wave anyway .
Best way to deal with Lex luthor is to assassinate him and blame it on communists. People will be very ready to believe that. Or, y'know, just wait for him to die. The guy does a lot of good for humanity and won't be round forever. I guess in comics that'll never happen, but I think that's too meta a thought process for the guys in the comics. Superman might be thinking 'his companies are doing a lot of good for humanity, his genius is of great value to them, if I just police him I'll be doing the best thing I can. He'll either grow out of evil or die of age."
Of course, superman doesn't know he's in a comicbook. He doesn't know that lex'll only age to be made younger in another issue. So it seems like a good strategy.Last edited by The Jack; 2019-01-07 at 08:00 AM.

Re: What's your favorite headcanon?
There was a comic where it's revealed the reason why Bruce's parents managed to remain super rich in super-corrupt Gotham City while being honest people was because they lucked out in finding some bits of kryptonian tech that had fallen off from super man's ship during entry on Earth and they managed to reverse engineer it to get a big edge over the competition.
Luckily, there's 7+ billions of us and growing. If normal Joe can't do it, some crazy genius will pull it off, and it only takes one to understand it to explain everybody else.
But luckily that's a moot point because you already said the Justice League would be filling patents on alien tech, and to make a patent on tech you need to explain the details of how it works.

Re: What's your favorite headcanon?
Without said tech in front of us, it's hard to say how imitable it is. But if anyone can reverse engineer Kryptonian tech, it's probably going to be Lex. I'm pretty sure he's already done that in comics, but maybe y'all can correct me.

Re: What's your favorite headcanon?
That's already official, 00 is just the highest level of agents and the next number is used to diferentiate them but when they die/retire their number is up for grabs. In particular during Forever and A Day James Bond is explicitly replacing the previous 007 that had been murdered and the other 00s have often been different people inside the story too. 009 was killed at Thunderball but an active 009 is mentioned at later movies for example.
EDIT: Ah seems like you're talking about the "James Bond" name itself, sure maybe each 00 comes with a more common name for use with other people.

So, on Dragonsfoot, we had monthly contests for a while, and one I wrote was "Come up with a monastic order for your game." My entry didn't win, but the Brotherhood of the Bond had some obvious influences.

I'm aware of the other theory.
It's sober and reasonable and makes a lot of sense. Anything that reasonable could never be my favourite.
James Bond the time lord, though? Sign me up.
Actually most of my favourite headcanons are "X is a time lord"

Re: What's your favorite headcanon?
My favorite explanation for Batman-level super knowledge in every field is the one put forward by Dr. McNinja - clones! Dr. McNinja knows as much as he does because he was cloned dozens of times and attended university in every major at once. Then, once they all had their degrees, the clones all gathered and were subsumed back into the original.
Apart from Farmer McNinja. And I'll bet we've never had Farmer Batman either.

If you find yourself watching Power Rangers and wonder how some characters got their powers and zords back for an anniversary episode, just assume they were restored off screen. They have 20+ seasons of team geniuses to call on.
