It’ll probably be something involving armor. Mookie thinks armor is inherently awe-inspiring.

The imgur link appears to be broken.

I am not sure if I want to see Mookie drawing that.

It's the forum, I forgot that it breaks any and all imgur links. Which is why so many avatars, mine included, don't work.

Mookie's latest offering shows Starpower and Whatshisname being evenly matched, trading blow for blow, and ending up looking at each other, exhausted.

Okay, I might be getting soft but I will give him he's at least trying to make this look exciting. You can of course argue about how well he's doing at it but he seems to be putting some effort into it. Good on him?

At least now we know how featureless plains are created. It's when a Star Powered Sentinel and a proto-demon-orc warlord fight for no reason and crash into the hills and mountains until they are sand.
Maybe this is the origin story of Maltak!

So im picturing final battle between naruto and sasuke (PROBABLY without the arm part) where these two just get progressively more and more battered until they are basically barely able to swing their fists then they collapse and have some sort of discussion to settle whatever the heck this nonsense was about. Of course, its just as likely to get a poochy ending. "After the fight, mystery hammer floated to space and vanished, never to be seen or heard from again. Danica had a lot of explaining to do about the damage she took."

So the "winner" of the game, rather than a tyrant or powerful warlord, is a pathetic squat living in a desert with no better things to do than luring opponents from other worlds.
Another example of stupid evil in Mookieverse, because baddies cannot be logical, pragmatic or successful.

Maybe he's not the winner of the game? Maybe he's the loser, and he's been banished to the wastelands, and he has to prove himself by killing alien Invaders or something? Let's give it a shot.

Alternatively, he's telling the truth very literally, and he killed everyone else to take the planet. Then he got bored and wanted some sort of sapient contact again.

Wasn't that our first guess, that the world was ruined because McHammer got angry?

“Take the taken thing you’ve taken with your take-y strength! That’s how it’s always been done here!”

“Gosh, it sounds like you knew a different way to live!”

    “You’re right!”

Though to be fair, they’ve just given each other a serious beating. This might be the head injuries talking.

(Also, all those “takes” and the Maltak vibe—are we back to the Test of Taking? Ewww.)

Don’cha love Mookie’s pacing? There’s only four pages left in the “issue.” We’ll get this berk’s philosophy, his sob story, Danica’s magnanimous acceptance and forgiveness of the same, and probably something about Danica flying back to SSSSSSSSS (or else some vague non-sequitur a la Psy-Cop or The Ranting Contessa), all in about four pages. Five if you count this one.

We had three pages of general scene-setting, which is more or less fine in and of itself. About two pages of introduction to Karudak the not-orc on not-Maltak. Fourteen pages of tension-free, questionably drawn fighting. And now this.
