Maps 'n stuff
Hello fellow playgrounders!!
I recently started up a campaign "Cassess City of Nets" which is my first ever on-line campaign. It's not a medium I've used before because I always thought things would just drag and drag. Surprisingly however it's been great fun, but I find myself missing all the props that I normally have when playing in real life.
During the recent combat in that campaign I decided I needed a grid map to make things clearer to the players - so I totally ripped one off from the Arena Tournament games and adjusted it.
It was simple, effective and added to the play experience considerably.
Consequently... I went looking here to see if anyone had ever made a place where people could show off the maps they had used in their campaigns. To my surprise I couldn't find one.
I'm hoping the "If you build it they will come" principle applies here and that all those talented people who like to build these things will happily let others here on the boards use their simple maps.
I will be building some - Although given the quality of artwork I've seen on these boards I have no doubt that they will be outshone by those with better software and skills.
What say you fellow playgrounders?

Re: Maps 'n stuff
I have an absolutely ancient map I was going to use for both a Neverwinter Nights campaign and a D&D campaign. It's a basic medieval fantasy country.
It's right here.
Pretty basic, made in Photoshop awhile ago. I still might use it, but I don't care/mind if you steal it from your campaign.Last edited by Kyros; 2007-10-25 at 10:41 PM.

For a home-brew world called Unaria. I used to have more detailed maps somewhere but cannot find them at the moment.

Re: Maps 'n stuff
Whilst these are great....the sort of thing I had in mind were small localized maps, rooms, cave systems and small scale battle areas.
If I ever get around to finishing up the couple of maps I'm doing at present, I'll post you and show you what I mean. (Still cleaning up from Halloween party - those damn fake webs get everywhere.

Re: Maps 'n stuff
I made this for D20 Warhammer 40K game I'm running on these forums. It's a combat map, so it's pretty specifict to our party and this situation, but it could be adaptaded fairly easily. I used AutoRealm to make it.
Just another souless construct out for world peace and harmony.
