Re: Em's Extremely Extraordinarily Epic Random Banter #91
I have always wondered what it would be like:
1) to not be eldest and expected to set an example or play at "daddy" when parents are ill (5 years of this due to heart problems and diabetes caused by medication whilst I was doing my A levels)
2) to be an only child.
I've gotta be honest though I would give up any of my clan. They have helped shape who I am and, despite the occasional disagreement, I would not be here today without them. It was one of my brothers approximately 18 years ago that got me interested in RPGs, prior to that I'd not even heard of DnD!
Still gotta wonder..... *wibbly screen effects as eidreff enters a;ternate reality dreamworld type thing.*Why cannot life be simple? I am simple, therefore surely something that i try to do must also be simple

I'm an only child myself. Given from what I've heard from some friends of mine who are older siblings, I'm pretty content with my current situation.

Thankee ^_^
On my avi? Thankee ^_^
I'm a younger sibling. I can't remember the details, but you know that study that found that people have different personalities depending upon their order of birth? Well, my sister and I are pretty much the extremes of Eldest and Youngest... Apparently she punched me once, but I don't remember it. My nephew is pretty cute and fun, when he's not being a manipulative little liar

Re: Em's Extremely Extraordinarily Epic Random Banter #91
Hmm, didn't I kill myself? Or is that temporary, like in a soap opera?
Anyway, I've been under a lot of stress lately at school, so I've been burning that candle at both ends. That doesn't leave a lot of time for my usual timewasters, like this site.
But, with the holidays fast approaching, it appears as though I have a bit of a breather coming on, so for now anyway I'm back and better than ever, causing trouble like always. Also, I've got a great new story up, which is part of what I was working so hard on the past few weeks.
Frankly, I'm sort of surprised anyone noticed I was gone, but pleasantly so.Glorious Chaiman Kaga avatar by the impeccable Kalirush!

Me too, and I don't think I have any negative vibes attached to you... I'm not very good at remembering people, though, and I tend to get people mixed up. For example, CurlyKitGirl posted in the Impersonation silly game, and I just realised I actually impersonated Dragonrider

Re: Em's Extremely Extraordinarily Epic Random Banter #91
Another Sunday morning, the weather is crap as ever in December, grey sky and no snow, but I'm quite content right now. Drinking cocoa for the first time in ages while Rush's Limelight plays in the background. Life's good.
I really do wonder why I have been depressed over the course of last year. Halve a year back some people still wanted me to go to a psychiatrist.
Somehow now I have this sentence in my head: "Maturity is not when you realised that you were stupid before, but that it made you who you are.
That's too bad, fortunately pain goes away. As goes the acting like you don't want to because the pain is irritating you.
You probably will feel sorry for how you acted then. That's how I always feel because I become a sarcastic bastard as soon as I'm bothered with anything I can't show.
It's always bad to be away from your loved ones (or in this case loved one), I don't see how the birthday is any special. Though it tends to be reflective. Have a good one anyway, well, as good as you can.

Re: Em's Extremely Extraordinarily Epic Random Banter #91
I have a nice story from my uncle there. He slept at his brothers place after having gone to a football match in Klagenfurt (basically 100 km away) with said brother and came there very late. So in the morning his niece, the brother's four year old daughter (he has two, they're four and two) wakes him up at 8:00.
*Quietly*"Martin, wake uuuup. It's 8:00"
"Even on Sundays?"
*Still quietly* "I don't know..." *Now shouting upstairs* "MOOOM! DO WE NEED TO GET UP THIS EARLY ON SUNDAYS?!"
"NO DEAR!"
"No we don't, you can get back to sleep."
Needless to say by then he was awake and couldn't.

Re: Em's Extremely Extraordinarily Epic Random Banter #91
Errr, I seem to have bit of a problem with a prank gone awry. Anybody wanna help?
You see, I posted a link to this really bad webcomic (that is actually a parody) at this other forum I go to, just so that I could claim to have crappy webcomic precognition (I know where this comic is posted first, so it's easy to get a general gist of the future strips and plotlines from there). However, it seems that half the forum (rough estimate) has already guessed the chicanery of it all. So, um, how do I take this prank under control again? I'd really like to be able to have the chance to claim crappy webcomic precognition, even if it's only for a prank.Special thanks to Mr. Saturn for Silly-Hat Healslime Avie.

Aye'm all alone, there's no one here beside mee..
I'm an only child, the only one of my entire group of friends now. It's alright, but it means there's no one to act as scapegoat or other such sibling uses.
In other news: I just ate some meatloaf for the first time. It was really quite nice, and now I am confused as to why it has such bad press.

Aww, poor Bath doesn't have a shower to call his own sibling.
Never tried meatloaf either. I've only heard bad things about it too.
So Bath, did you get 90mph winds today? I was walking my dogs in it when the deluge started. Have ou ever been hit by dollops icy icy lumps of rain flying that ast. I was in pain. Without a hood. *winces slightly*

Re: Em's Extremely Extraordinarily Epic Random Banter #91
Short answer: No.
Longer answer: But they were at about 70mph, and it was the same yesterday and the day before.
I have, however, 'been hit by dollops icy icy lumps of rain flying that fast'. Except I was on a boat going across the solent, trying to be look out so that we didn't get hit by any tankers. It was also at night.

Re: Em's Extremely Extraordinarily Epic Random Banter #91
I spent the spring in China, and in March, we had record winds and snow. We tried to walk down to the store and when we got out the door, we were literally blown across the street. It was a sheet of ice and the wind was so fierce that it had pulled the roof of a building next door.
When we got back inside, our clothes were coated in ice.

Re: Em's Extremely Extraordinarily Epic Random Banter #91
A most faithful recourse of mine is to look out the window before I leave the house. It has worked, apparently, for thousands of years, and is quite frankly more reliable than the weatherman.
Meatloaf is made by combining meat with a passel of other ingredients. It's sort of like fruitcake: there are guidelines, but if you want to throw it in, no one will really question it. Thus, meatloaf became a way for busy mothers to toss together leftovers and food needing disposal into a convenient loaf. Meatloaves like this are often very odd, and sometimes even pretty terrible, and, due to their convoluted makeup, unidentifiable but the partaker, thus becoming 'mystery meat,' a title synonymous with inedibility.
Meatloaf made traditionally with good ingredients is delicious, however, and does, indeed, get a bad rap because of its evil twin, the 'stuffloaf.'
