Re: Low Rollers
Cool, but the mouths on the kobolds bug me. maybe make it more sharp? Good comic though

Re: Low Rollers
Looks pretty good I guess, but I find it very hard to judge a comic based on the first strip alone. I'll reserve judgement.
Just a few comments: the art could be improved a little, but I'm sure you'll get better with practice. Besides the kobold mouths, there's only one thing in particular that weirds me out: what's with the really freaking weird hairstyles? One guy has a weird shapeless blob of hair and the other has some sort of weird tower-like construct that must take at least ten cans of hair product a day to keep it that way (or possibly just an Enchant Hair spell). :PLast edited by Sneak; 2007-12-23 at 04:00 PM.

Re: Low Rollers
If you shift the facial features further to one side of the face, it'll make it appear that they're looking to one side, rather than always straight at the reader.

Re: Low Rollers
I'm toying around with that.
EDIT: Yeah, from here on out, I'll be doing that.
Please point out any other artistic problems. I'm looking to improve.Last edited by Maulrus; 2007-12-23 at 06:50 PM.

Re: Low Rollers
Unfortunately, I don't care for the style of the hair. I don't like the "straight up and twisted" or "gigantic bushy afro"; and if you are really set on that style, it could be drawn a little better.
It's funny, but the characters don't have to look at the reader the whole time.
The DM is a blatant ripoff of Failing Saves, but I don't mind that at all. It's very humorous.
Are they dead, or just unconscious? X-eyes imply dead, but it would be odd to kill off the "main characters" in the first comic.
The comic looks like it definitely has potential, keep up the good work.

Re: Low Rollers
Thanks for the feedback. About the hair, I might change the black mop thing around a bit, but the twisty thing is going to stay.
I read Failing Saves before I got the idea to do this. Then I did it, and I went back to Failing Saves, and I was like, "Holy crap! I copied this!"
And can you suggest better unconscious eyes? I couldn't really think of anything, but I will change it in the future if you can give me any ideas.

Re: Low Rollers
From now on, X will denote dead.
I'll worry about the unconscious eyes later.

Re: Low Rollers
I started taking some more cues from OotS characters regarding capes and stuff. Also, speech bubbles will have outlines from now on.
EDIT: Improved character model:

Re: Low Rollers
Not bad. Pretty funny, great art, but not really comic-like just yet.
