(I myself am working on a R-rated Keriss/Lana slash story right now. Oh, so many shirts torn ...)
I was surprised at how long it lasted too, to be honest. The main reason I was doing daily updates was so I could firmly establish myself if the comic took off. And since it did, I'd say I accomplished my goal pretty well. Thanks to the fans, of course.

And that fanfic has me both intrigued and disturbed. But I guess you're good like that, aren't you?

Oh believe me, I wouldn't dream of it. That's the other half of what kept me going with daily updates. There's nothing I hate more when a story of any kind suddenly dies off in the middle of the plot and leaves everyone wondering. If there's one thing that I refuse to do to my fans, it's leaving them without a resolution, whether it be for the current story arc, or the entire plot.

Rest assured, one way or another, you guys will be seeing the end of this story.

Wow, your comment made me check into that a little more. And I found out the thread with the most views (that isn't stickied) in this entire Arts and Crafts forum is this one. I guess I'm popular.

And even counting the stickied ones, the only one that has more views is the current avatar request thread. But it has 7,601 replies, so that's not a fair comparison.

Anyway, thanks so much for all the views, comments, or whatever you've said. Anti-Heroes has become what it is largely thanks to you guys.

Oh, and there'll be a comic up tomorrow for sure, for all those waiting.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but we're pretty far in the thread, and the thread max(not counting stickieds) is page 50, then there needs to be a second thread, so I guess all threads that are continue's of previous threads would have more hits(been looked at)...

Oh, believe me, I know. I didn't mean to say that my thread is the most popular in the entire forum (I'm not that conceited), I just meant that this thread has managed to get over 90 thousand views in less than three months. That has to count for something.

Is that a compliment, or an insult?

"Morty," huh? Well, ain't that appropriate.

@V: You could take it that way. Or you could take it to mean "time slows to a crawl when I'm reading your boring comic."

EDIT: Regarding this whole "number of views" issue, I'll noted that Anti-Heroes has the distinction of being the most-viewed fancomic in the Playground. Failing Saves is close with over 80,000 views in its first thread, but they also went to 55 pages, and Anti-Heroes is still at Page 43.

Not trying to sound annoying or write the script for you, but as a suggestion if you haven't already written the next one: I'd bet you'd get a huge laugh if you made Morty only feared because he was in evil lands or something, and he was good aligned, and gave all of his paychecks to charity.

Bad move Morty, its not a good idea to be hated by Aldran. Though I suppose he just dont know Keriss is Aldran girlfriend...actually, did anyone even told Lana that Keriss was Aldran girlfriend? I bet shes wondering why she joined them.

I feel compelled to comment what I like so much about this comic
Besides humor and art there are those details...

On panel two we see Kaal still sad about Frank, Robe Guy muses he saw something like this before (hint that something is smelling bad in the state of danmark)

After the black speech bubble the expectations for the captain were high.. some powerful undead? Now we have hints this might be just his cover, for example when he interrupts his crewmember when he nearly spilled too much.

The line "How come you never talk to me like that" is simply hilarious, it also hints Aldran and Keriss are sort of a as-good-as-'married' couple with how they treat each other.

Morty is so close to mortis as in livor mortis or rigor mortis that it is a strong hint (again) that the captain in undead. It is also close to mort, which I believe has to do with hunting.

Now if Morty is undead, will he fall for Lana's +4 CHA cup size? Will there be more catfights resulting in torn cloths? Do Aldran and Keriss have a child?

so many questions! I love it

I dunno if mort has something to do with hunting in English but I know it means «dead» in French.

    Dudes!

'mort is from V.L. *mortus "dead," from L. mortuus, pp. of mori "to die" (see mortal)'

Most languages have at least one word, dealing with death, that comes from the Latin root.

    In English:
Mortician, one who takes care of the dead
Mortal, one who is subject to death
Mortify, to affect with gangrene or necrosis (death of flesh)

The hunting term is Mort, the horn sounded during a hunt to signify the death of the prey.
