Reflex save to avoid being trapped under the falling horse: (1d20+6)[21]

This round: casting Arc of Lightning between D4 & D2, going from space X25 to K17 so as to avoid including LMM in the lightning. If either D4 or D2 are down by the time Mercy's turn rolls around, she'll switch focus to any combination of two of D2, D3 and D4, targeting so as to avoid LMM. Either way, reflex DC 21 for half, and damage that I'll roll in another post.

Move action to go to X16.

Rolling clear of the horse that is now choking and gasping its last breath, Mercy stands - only to be caught full in the blast of a second dragon's breath. She is now very VERY glad to have Doc Rhino along on this trip.

Seizing upon the proximity of the dragons, Mercy focuses on creating an electrical resonance between them that will, hopefully, send one or more to oblivion. She then retreats eastward behind a tree.

Miss Murder

Miss Murder takes another strike at the dragon's flanks as it moves past her, weathering the corrosive gas easily with the help of protective magic. Her horse is not so lucky, giving a high-pitched scream that trails off into nothingness as it stumbles to the ground and falls, lungs burning.

An angry Miss Murder directs a glare at the beast in front of her, but the target behind her is too tempting to pass up. She turns, whirling her flail once in a downward circle to build momentum and bringing it into the dragon's rear flank on the second downswing.

The horse is either dead or dying; probably dead, but Miss Murder autosucceeds on her Ride check not to be prone. (1d20+4)[10] And here's Miss Murder's save, to track how much damage the Resist Energy spell has taken: (1d20+8)[16]

Miss Murder takes a 5-foot step down and to the left, which should hopefully get her flanking with Watson, switches to Tactics of the Wolf; anyone flanking the enemy with her gets a +5 bonus on damage rolls. She then uses Elder Mountain Hammer, taking a -5 penalty to gain 10 temporary hp from Stone Power.

Miss Murder

Her armor deflects the brunt of most of the blows as she turns to face them, leaving Miss Murder with little more than bruises. She ignores those and brings her flail around in a crushing blow, trying to catch the dragon's head as it withdraws from snapping at her shield.

She also steps aside, leaving a clear path for Watson and Doc Rhino to enter.

Switch to Leading the Charge Stance, and take a five foot step down and to the right. Anyone choosing to charge gets +11 to damage.

All but the bite attack hits; Miss Murder's temporary HP soaks up 10 of the damage, and the remaining 10 enters her delayed damage pool, giving her +2 to attacks and damage this turn. Her maneuvers are refreshed this round, so she'll use Elder Mountain Hammer again, still using Stone Power for another +10 temporary hp.

Trusting Miss Murder and Doc Rhino to take care of the threat to the south, Mercy again turns to help Chains. Summoning a glob of ice, she tosses it quickly at the northern-most dragon.

Doc Rhino
The hawk's eyes fix upon the dragon menacing Miss Murder. Seeing the avenue open opening up, he spreads his wings once more, and aura of green, glowing leaves floats around the giant bulk of Watson. Additionally, He hops free and Changes, his form warping and re-shifting to turn into a smaller version of Watson; a Rhinoceros incongruously fitted with hide armor. Leaving Watson to help Little Miss Mercy, Doc Rhino tramps towards the melee between chains and the other dragon...

Miss Murder's flail snaps out braining the beast, as it starts to slump to the ground the massive bulk of Watson, focused to a single point slams home. Ripping the dragon a new belly button that extends out beyond its spine. Watons shakes its huge head, gore flies everywhere and the carcass of the drake flys to either side.

Mercy's ice ball goes wide, the heavy undergrowth partiall blocking her line of sight.

The snot monsters also slam into the beasts. The snot beetle dragging down the green in an intense grip. While Efly pummels the last free living attacker.

The whilrwind sucks the last breath away from the northern dragon, it drops limp.

Chains' attacks slam home also.

The final drake seeing its brothers die, and its back against the wall screams out {in draconic} "YEILD I YEILD! and backs up into the wall of undergrowth.

Mercy quickly translates for the others and yells back to the dragon (in draconic).

"Give us one good reason we should spare your life! Do you have gold hidden nearby?"

Doc Rhino
With a snort and crackles of bone, the smaller of the two rhinoceroses shifts back into the reassuring earnestness of Doc Rhino. He moves jerkily towards the yet-burgeoned bulk of Watson and pats his hide reassuringly, holding back for the moment the animal's mad rage.

Taking stock of his comrades quickly, Doc Rhino spreads his fingers and intones an enchantment for the purpose of slowly closing the wounds of his allies.
(Cast Sudden Extend Mass Lesser Vigor. Gain 22 HP back over 22 rounds)

The bard sighs as Mercy announces the dragon's surrender. He accepts the druid's healing and stands near the dragon, swinging his weapon threateningly.

The dragon pushes back against the branches holding it You will not have my hoard! It tries to turn and shove into the thicket.

Mercy moves awkwardly through the tall undergrowth towards the body of the dragon.

Yes, Doc, that was quick thinking - a real life-saver. And as for finding the hoard...well, if everyone would hand their gold over to Smokey for a few minutes, and if he doesn't mind flying up and far away for half an hour, I can at least determine whether there's any gold hidden nearby. Failing that, Prowl might be able to scent them out.

Basically, suggesting that I use Locate Object to look for "gold". If we all hand anything gold we have to smokey, and he flies more than a thousand feet away, we can at least determine whether they have a lair with any gold in it within a thousand feet of here.

Doc Rhino smiles and waves a hand breezily. a fine sheen of sweat stands on his forehead.
"Of course! Anything for my fellow Grays. Besides, I still have a substantial debt to work off to the lot of you." Doc Rhino strides over to Watson, and after a little while the giant rhinoceros shrinks back to normal size. Doc Rhino scratches behind his ears and speaks softly to him.
As the others bring up the topic of recovering the dragons' hoard, Doc Rhino clears his throat.
"I'm sorry, I do hate to interrupt, but what are we going to do about the mission? On foot we are much slower than a'horse. How will we continue on?"

Mercy gestures to the recently-deceased dragon, and smiles at Smokey.

Sounds great. While you're at it, might as well ask if it's been to this temple we're now walking towards.

She glances at the others.

At least, I assume we're walking. Except for Smokey, and perhaps Doc, I suppose. If it would speed things up, perhaps Doc could convince Watson to carry Firefly?

"My horse is still alive somewhere. We would need to find it though." He moves to check if any of the dragons are merely unconsious, though he doubts it.

As Chains finishes checking the dead dragons, Mercy cranes her neck to see through the underbrush.

Just a suggestion, but it'll be faster if either Smokey or Doc go after the horse - maybe with Chains following. Be a lot easier to spot from the air, even with these trees. Sound good?

With a snap of his fingers, Smokey summons an large dog, which immediately begins to sniff out the stray horse.
As he does this, the cleric pulls out a donkey, with bit, bridle, saddle, and
saddlebags.
"There."
He then gets to the business at hand, setting down next to the dragon with the least damage, placing it's head between his hands and concentrating.
