Actually, I think both Threeshades and Vert Doom (or at least the people on his side) have the same goal. Both of them know It could be used against them, so both of them want to get rid of it (or at least that's how I interpreted it).

It's really simple. My old character Vulion was revealed to be a portion of some overly powerful jackass and that all of his back story was merely an illusion. He is accompanied by by my new character Larry, an epic level sorceror that despite appearances is not human. He seeks to destroy the Dragon talisman for reasons that are as of yet unknown.
