Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
Well technically it's friday here so here's strip 5, this where everything's now in motion and this has four levels of strips which I'll try to continue with in the following comics.
Sorry for the wordiness, but there's subtle foreshadowing in this strip, very subtle foreshadowing.
Strip 5:Barsteward!
Spoiler
I've decided when it gets to strip 10 that all but the latest comic and short will only be linked to, to reduce loading times and prevent clutter.
And yay second page.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
Sorry the comic's late but it's the first double page strip and has a lot of dialogue. Although sadly it doesn't really forward a story, but it shows the first definite death.
Strip 6:The Barmaid and the Thief
Spoiler
No replies since the last comic, what's wrong with it?

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
#6 was wonderful. I was confused in the first panel, though. You probably should've had eighth notes floating around, to signify it was music.
On another note, I am so doing that at my next DnD session.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
It's high time this comic got some fanart.
Spoiler
Sorry I couldn't get Valda in. She proved too hard to draw. Maybe next time.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
Nice, except Mook's supposed to have a hammer although that's probably my fault for not drawing a hammer properly so that's alright.
Anyway I'm going to put this in the first post.
EDIT:I actually love the drawing, especially Casey, I think Bran's hair looks odd, but that's your style. IT's an awesome drawing anyway.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
Oh yikes. I did forget a whole lot of things.
EDIT::: At least they're recognizable, right?
EDITEDIT::: Wait. If Mook has a hammer, then what's that thing he threw at the gnome in the cast comic? As for the hair, I might be able to fix that with the magic of white-out and the PhotoBucket editor.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
He threw his hammer, which is why the gnome isn't dead and/or disfigured.
The picture's fine, in fact it's excellent, if you want to do any more or change it feel free but I'm definately content with it.
In fact, I decided to colour it.
Spoiler
EDIT:Sadly it's a bit blurry.

Great coloring. Just why is it so blurry, though?

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
Somebody else said it looks like an axe as well, I might redesign it and make it look more hammer like or he might have an axe and a hammer.
I don't actually know why it's blurry, I resized it in Paint.net, maybe it was that, although it usually doesn't blur things when you make them smaller.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
Here's the short for today, it's only two panels but it establishes what the Gnomes are doing, a location in my world and that we will in fact still see the gnomes.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
Nice. But you should really make the speech bubbles bigger so I can see the periods. Seeing the punctuation (or what punctuation is used) can make or break a comic.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
I know, that on my list of things to improve on, the problem is finding a happy medium because I don't want to make the bubbles bigger than they need to be. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
Sorry for the comic being a day late, I was caught up with things but here it is and I'm tryin to do some more promotional material to upload later.
Strip 7:Betrayal.Spoiler
Not much comedy in this strip but some character development and plot thickening. I would love any feedback you guys have.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
It's currently undecided but it's someone Ambrose is close to and they know each other well.
Sorry for the lateness of updates and stuff, I'm going to begin work on some stuff for the comic now.
EDIT: Wow, the thread has over a thousand views, it's a mild success.

Oh, the lateness is fine. I haven't updated my comic in two (three?) days. The only difference is that I can say I was busy doing stuff for Independance Day.

Heh. Nice. Good to see your art improving, Oregano.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
Thanks, I'm trying to improve the art constantly but it sometimes takes a long time. I don't think the light from the fire looks very good though.
Yer, that wouldn't be a good nickname, well it could be but I don't think it would end up good. I've already got the nickname "Spiceboy" from Curly.
EDIT: I think the reason I have to double post all the time is because I reply too much.
@V:Nice, I will do.
It may be something useful to put in my visual techniques thread as well.

Here's the first batch of smiley's/emoticons, there's one for each character even minor ones(the exception is the minor characters out of the shorts but I may do smiley's for them soon).

It would have been funnier if he had just tied a stick to his lip for a moustache.

Re: Ye Olde Wizard's Wand(A High Fantasy Adventure)
Phase, how would he tie it to his lip? he's not steven tyler.
Thanks Beholder, I wanted the Guards to be more realistic and believable because they're like normal people doing a job, not the heroes or villains of the story.
By the way, Phil and Fred are in tomorrow short.
