Re: Werewolf Central III - All potential wolves please read
Ooh, that could be a fun mechanic. Make the Fat Bottomed Girls groupies.
Fat Bottomed Girls - Each day, the Fat Bottomed Girls attempt to collect "Autographs" from Queen and their famous inventions. They do so by pointing in unison at one target. Fat Bottomed Girls win if they have more autographs of name roles than villagers at the end of the game.

Won't they all just vote in unison at one of them and then stop collecting autographs?

Re: Werewolf Central III - All potential wolves please read
The Fat Bottom Girls idea isn't too bad. But maybe it nullifies someone's vote. They PM there vote during the day, and whoever they collectively point at is removed from play until the next day cycle.

Re: Werewolf Central III - All potential wolves please read
Update: Queen (The Rock Group) WW.
The roles would be:
- Fans (Villagers)
- Invisible Man (Baner)
- Prophet (Seer)
- Mad the Swine (Fool)
- Death On Two Legs (Sniper)
- Queen (Band)
- Freddie Mercury
- Brian May
- Roger Taylor
- John Deacon
- White Queen (Head Fan)
- Fat Bottom Girls (Fan Club/Masons)
- Ogres (Wolves)
- Great King Rat (Devil)
- Black Queen (Alpha Wolf)
SpoilerFat Bottom Girls (Fan Club/Masons): They do a daytime point, looking for Queen. They can collectively point at only one person per day. If it's not a member of Queen, they find out nothing about the person. But if they do find a Member of Queen, then the Member is brought into the Masons group.
Queen, White Queen, and the Fat Bottom Girls will collectively add up to 2 less than the Black Queen and her Ogres.
Thoughts?
=====================
If I could, I'd like to reserve a spot for this potential game in February.

Re: Werewolf Central III - All potential wolves please read
Is there a game that is close enough to the original(since I want to start playing) that is still recruiting?

Re: Werewolf Central III - All potential wolves please read
There are only two games recruiting right now to my knowledge: my wife and I's and Haruki-kun's Memesville. Both recruitment threads should still be here in Structured, though neither are particularly close to Classic Werewolf.

Oh, before anyone in this thread mentions it (as mentioned in another thread by Mordokai), I chose this name before I knew about the werewolf games.
(and thanks to Mordokai to pointing the way to here)

Re: Werewolf Central III - All potential wolves please read
Assorted peoples of the WW centeral. If I wanted to narrate my own game would it be advisable to co-narrate one first? Althought this (narrating or co-narrating) wouldn't be for a while as I'm in a two games soon to be three right now.

Re: Werewolf Central III - All potential wolves please read
I like keeping detailed records, otherwise I would be worthless at analysis. And I'm not to greath with the detailed info besides. Okay, now to get killed so I can co-narrate a couple...

Re: Werewolf Central III - All potential wolves please read
I've necver actually co-narrated a game, but it does seem that some experience on the narration side helps before you go it alone. I'd recommend either running a small game first (maybe 20 players) or get a conarrators slot on another game, just to give you an idea of what's required etc before you go to it.
It's a headache sometimes, but narrating a game can be very rewarding.

Aww...poor meat shield...
...want me kiss it make it better?
Anyway...
I jumped in pretty much head first for my first narration and I'll say this: about the only thing that saved my sanity was that my first game was pretty simple and I had some idea of what to expect. At least play in a few games first to get a feel for what's going on and how things work.

As someone who has zero organisational skills, I'd say yes to at least one co-narrator

Re: Werewolf Central III - All potential wolves please read
So, these games are pretty much just mind games, right?
and all I have to do is:
1.Keep track of my class,
2.figure out the chances of a certain role being given to a veteran player compared to a newbie(i.e. The Alpha is more complex, so there is a greater likelyhood of it being assigned to someone like Dallas-Dakota instead of me)
3.Keep track of other people's roles when they die and try to figure out about how many of each role are left playing.
4.Watch other people's remarks for when they are voted on.
This about it?

Re: Werewolf Central III - All potential wolves please read
Pretty much. And chatting on MSN or another chat of your choice works too.
Makes it easier to network.
For an introduction to WW I recommend signing up for WW Classic the next time it's offered, or track the current game. Start reading at the beginning to get an idea of the game."see the little angels rise up high, how do they rise up, rise up, how do they rise up high?"

Re: Werewolf Central III - All potential wolves please read
Not true.
Roles are assigned randomly (or they SHOULD be anyway).
Hypothetically, the chances of a newbie getting any certain role should be exactly the same as a seasoned player.
This becomes a bit skewed when you take into account that most players have been playing for a while and therefore there are many more seasoned players than newbies - thereby allowing a greater chance of a vet getting a role than a newbie by default.
So the overall chances of it going to a vet are higher, while the individual chances of it should be equal.
