It's probably for the same reason people are hesitant to draw Bortak, it's because you're completely nonhumanoid so they have to make an especially unique design using few elements from other characters (Ie. takes longer)

I'm thinking of making a very big comic involving Bortak somehow that forces people to draw him, but I can't think of any kind of circumstance which would warrant such a thing.

Count yourself lucky. No-one has drawn me since I made my big re-entry. I know I'm a ninja, but that's not really an excuse.
But that's okay. When I'm remaking the comics for the archive I'll put another in to explain the disappearance.

You haven't interacted with me or any of my NPCs since your re-entry. However, I do have a template for you, obviously.

NC's design is quite simple, really. I used an oval for his head, an oval for his body, a pair of ovals for his eyes, a triangle for his beak, a pair of triangles for his fangs. Just add wing-shapes and line-legs plus some accessories.

But that is time I am willing to take. After all it is just drawing practice.

Technically, if we're talking very first thread. Then Lyinginbedmon, Nameless and Mechafox should also be classed as newcomers, but that seems weird.

To tell the truth, I would have probably put myself on the newcomer list. I might be the oldest one there, though. I've been here about a year. I came just a little bit before Jason. When did Nameless and Onasuma join?

Well excuse me for not joining the forums earlier (or finding out about the webcomic for that manner). The fi=rst thread has been posted till 08-09 and I joined in 29-08 (mostly for the town). I only started browsing the other parts of the forum a couple of months later...

Edit: and Onasuma and Omicron are veterans
