I never got any of your names. Or if I did, my memory didn't hold them. I say, realizing I'd better...

We came in through a portal. Where'd it go? I say, extremely alarmed.

((The portal's gone.))

Annalee: Fanboy, Turtle, Nil... did any of you do something to the portal?

"Not on purpose," Turtle says, defensively. "Honest! I was trying to help!" She is very much aware that banishing a traveller's portal was a good first step if you wanted to kill them and take their stuff, and worried that someone will suspect her of intending just that.

"I saw it, first it got really tiny then it disappeared"
"I'm Pri by the way" say's the pixie with a smile on his face.

Oh no... We never told them to hold it open...

I find a sofa to flop down into, looking defeated, and depressed.

Ryu's pair of highly sensitive second ears picked up on turtles whisper and he feels a bit uneasy but is not too concerned. He then shakes the pixies hand, giving it a jolt of joy

Annalee: Never told who?

Turtle feels guilty, even though this time she didn't do anything wrong. Her conscience is rather new and not yet able to discriminate properly. "Can I get you a drink? Jack and Coke? Chocolate milkshake? A nice cup of tea?"

The guys back on my plane who were operating the portal.

A Jack and Coke? That sounds so weird I'll try it... I don't usually drink sodas, or even drinks with soda in them, but what the heck.

Annalee: You still never answered Turtle, what did you want the technology for?

Oh, right. We need a powerful power supply for the city we've managed to liberate. The city's power plants aren't doing enough, so we needed to get the technology for a sub-atomic fission reactor. By technology, I mean materials, blueprints, machinery, et cetera.

Turtle goes to the fully stocked kitchen to make their visitor a nice, strong, Jack and Coke. Then she makes another one for herself. She carries it to him and sits next to him on the sofa, still feeling guilty. "We can try and use the spork to make you a new portal. Although I've never done it before."

((How about leave it up to the characters? Fanboy being a very powerful old vampire probably knows about planar travel. Turtle, who is rather flighty, is only vaguely aware that there are things called 'portals' that zap people from one place to another.))

Czernov is silent, behind Randy. He's quite good-looking, with Easter European features, a dark tan, and a short black haircut.

If a portal was made through non-technological means, it couldn't reach my plane. Magic is suppressed and whatnot.

And I don't think the portal would work, unless it was completely made through non-magical means.

Annalee: Turtle, you didn't do anything to Randy's drink, did you?

Czernov blushes. I'm fine. And, magic? He's still sceptical of this fairy-tale mumbo-jumbo.

[Me.]

Ryu pulls out a bronze teapot, a jug of water, and some tea leaves, as well as some herbs and spices. He pours some water into the pot, put some leaves and herbs in, makes a small flame in his hand and heats the tea, putting away his supplies. When it's done he pulls a cup out of thin air, pours the tea, takes a sip, and asks the nearest available person,"So... when was this group established and for what purpose?"

((By the way, is this a building or a camp or what?))

"It's just Jack Daniels and Coke," Turtle says, defensively. "No roofies at all."

((I think probably a big house with a big yard.))

Annalee: Actually, yesterday. After Nil and I redeemed Turtle and Fanboy we created this place of good to keep them out of trouble.

Hey, Czer, they closed the f*****g portal on us. We'll have to build a new one if they don't, or can't open it again.

Ryu seems to ponder this and then smiles heartily,
"I see. Well big things often have little beginnings."

Oh. But. I... I... Czernov looks worried. What about Jher? How'll he cope without us? Emotional, he pours himself a glass of stout gin, and sips.

"That seems awfully... careless... of your friends. How did they expect you to get back?"

He'll be able to run the school. That much is good. And Lori can take over the military wing.

I'm not sure how we'll get back now. Something tells me they couldn't keep the portal open. It already screwed up, and put us here.

I play with the holster on my thigh idly, and sip from my drink.
