Re: Shipping itP II: Scourge of the Seven Seas
I'm requesting a favour from everyone who RPs with me or chats with me. When you see me online tonight, beat me over the head and make me type in the next instalment of Ship Wars. Because leaving it up to me to get around to it clearly isn't working.

Re: Shipping itP II: Scourge of the Seven Seas
Vespe/Raistlin
I'll Get You
SpoilerOh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Imagine I'm in love with you
It's easy 'cause I know
Being a bard is not always easy. Aside from the insults tossed at you by other classes, the fact that you don't really have any specialty, and let's face it, the fact that you go into dungeons and SING at people, bards also have to live and die by tropes and genre conventions.
So it was with Vespe Ratavo. Among other things, he was cursed with being Hollywood Dateless. Yes, it was true that every otherepisodeweek he would have a date. It was also true that he would manage to screw it up in a spectacular manner, narrowly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Still, he reasoned, it wasn't always his fault. How was he supposed to know that this was, in fact, the real Spanish Inquisition and not the Monty Python sketch? He didn't expect that. Or the time that he'd tried to take his date time traveling. Really, he thought everyone knew about the killer flying time monkeys.
At least with Castaras things had been relatively normal, if not perfect. Yes, the movie sucked, and they had to wait an hour for dinner, but you know, normal.
Of course, nothing ticks off Fate more than a normal day.
So on the way home, they passed a pie eating contest.
It was 11 by the time he got home. He was angry, depressed, humiliated, and pie-encrusted, as usual. Well, the pie-encrusted part wasn't so usual, but he usually was angry, depressed, and humiliated.
I've imagined I'm in love with you
Many, many, many times before
Vespe turned on the TV. As casualties continue to mount from the apparently pie-inspired riot-

But I'll get you, I'll get you in the end
Yes I will, I'll get you in the end
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Suddenly, he stopped. Over by the door, there was a letter. Curious, he walked over to it and opened it.
I think about you night and day,
I need you 'cos it's true.
When I think about you, I can say,
I'm never, never, never, never blue.
So I'm telling you, my friend,
That I'll get you, I'll get you in the end,
Yes I will, I'll get you in the end
Oh yeah, oh yeah
He frowned. Who keeps sending me these letters? He simply tossed it into the pile with the others, then sat down at his desk. Well, whoever it was obviously knows I'm a fan of-
Hello, Vespe. Vespe looked up. Raistlin was standing right behind him.
Oh, hey Raistlin. How'd you get in my apartment?
Came in through the bathroom window.
Ah.
Letters, huh?
Yeah, I keep getting them. Same person. Keeps sending me lyrics.
What song?
I'll Get You, Beatles. Vespe reached into the pile and handed another to Raistlin.
Well, there's gonna be a time,
Well I'm gonna change your mind.
So you might as well resign
yourself to me, oh yeah.
Ah, these.
You know who's sending them?
Yeah, it's-
Well, they obviously know I'm a Beatles fan.
The person who-
Nice handwriting, too.
Vespe, it-
Do you think it's Curly? he asked.
No.
MC?
No...
Turtle?
Raistlin sighed. Still no.
Could be Dragonrider.
No, it's not.
Haleyintraining?
Still no.
Ah, must be Rabbit, then.
Vespe, it's not Rabbit.
Castaras?
No.
SMEE, Phoe, Mordokai's dryad?
No.
You do know who wrote it, don't you?
He smiled. Of course I do Vespe, it's-
No, no, don't tell me, I'm keen to guess. Ego?
No.
Serpentine?
No.
xNadia?
No.
David Tennant?
Who?
Yes.
I mean, who's David Tennant?
No, Who's on first.
What?
What's on second, but we're drifting into another sketch. Tell me, do you really have any idea at all who wrote it?
Yes, and if you'd just let me-
Really?
I did.
Oh...I...er... he started to stammer.
Raistlin laughed. So, Vespe...are you busy?
Vespe held out a pair of keys. Time machine. Apple rooftop, January 30th, 1969?
Of course.
Imagine, I'm in love with you,
It's easy 'cos I know,
I've imagined, I'm in love with you,

Thank you to Fan and Nil for whacking me over the head. It is partially typed in. Continue the whacking tomorrow, and until I finish, please.

Re: Shipping itP II: Scourge of the Seven Seas
Cristo's writing makes Rabbit a happy girl.
Honestly, anything interestingly well written makes Rabbit a happy girl, but whatever.
Question: anyone here really, really like olives? Yes, this isn't as random as you might think it is.

Eh, I mostly lurk around here and I don't stand out much in the playground. I mostly just post in Gaming d20 and the occasional FB thread that sparks my interest.

Re: Shipping itP II: Scourge of the Seven Seas
Ego Slayer is hard to reach. I'm trying to write a shipfic with her and P_Z. I'm sure P_Z will agree to it whenever I get around to getting his permission, but I don't remember if Ego's posted permission yet.
EDIT: @V: Oh. That settles that then. And P_Z has been shipped before, so I can ship him as well. Thanks.Last edited by randman22222; 2008-10-03 at 03:52 AM.

Re: Shipping itP II: Scourge of the Seven Seas
I got a little sci-fi story, percolating in my mind. I think it would be fun to make a shipfic out of it.
I got openings for several characters, but feel out of place just arbitrarily picking them...
Also, I need to know who would be willing to play the part of a really nasty villain...
