Re: Destro Yersul's Dangerously Distracting and Doubtlessly Disturbing Random Banter
For some reason, schools have issues with the idea that they exist to teach people, and they seem to think that stuff like that is productive (it's like head teachers rambling on about naff-all at prize-giving ceromonies).

It would probably count as an inbuilt wand whatsit component from the ECS.
Probably not overpowered
- the wand will probably require UMD checks to activate
- it'll run down quickly enough (50 charges or 2/day won't last long if used as a primary weapon)
- a characteristic weapon like that will teach its own counter (energy resistance) quickly enough
Functionally it would be not dissimilar to a breath weapon: intermittent substantial damage

I thought Curly's response was more funny than mean. But I'm told that I have an odd sense of humor. And we won't go into what went through my head when she said her pants kept falling down.
Anyhoo, *hugs* to Curly. Get some sleep, hun.

Re: Destro Yersul's Dangerously Distracting and Doubtlessly Disturbing Random Banter
See? I'm good with titles. Only six pages and we've hit Disturbing already. Distracting was a given.
And yeah, I thought it was kinda funny too. And I too have an odd sense of humour. I believe 'warped' is how it's been referred to most often.I used to do LP's. Currently archived here:

Re: Destro Yersul's Dangerously Distracting and Doubtlessly Disturbing Random Banter
There's a "Self Help Day" on Wednesday in my school. Basically we're sent 10 KM along the mountains in a circle, raising money for the school, except we're not allowed to get sponsors. It wouldn't be so bad but as I'm in year 13 we're given the job of standing around with friends all day telling people which way to go - I did this last year and it was fun. However this year I have no good friends (I stayed back a year to finish off two AS courses I started last year) so I really don't want to go just to sit around by myself doing nothing.
Besides, I'm not much of a walker. I think I'll just stay at home and do something productive, like, I don't know, homework perhaps? Instead of wasting my time sitting around watching little brats raise a handful of pennies for my stupid school, and developing a cold in the process.

You could get a loudspeaker and play the theme song from M*A*S*H through it at all the walkers.
SpoilerFor those who are too young to remember, the song is titled Suicide is Painless.

Yup, it's wand-powered. The only fight they've had with these guys so far was really short, given the NPCs were on a grab-and-run mission. Now to develop a complication for the Karnnathi dragonshard...

Re: Destro Yersul's Dangerously Distracting and Doubtlessly Disturbing Random Banter
I'm British - all British people are warped.
I'm a teenager - all teenagers are warped, twisted, evil and suffer from hormones.
I have a sarcastic wit and a tongue shaped from purest acid.
I am also sleep deprived. And cranky. And writing in French.
I am therefore, warped and twisted so far past evil that even CE looks like LG.
In other news, I'm finding it so easy to switch from French to ENglish and vice versa that when I talk to myself it's a peculiar mixture of both, with some Japanese and latin mixed in for fun.

Re: Destro Yersul's Dangerously Distracting and Doubtlessly Disturbing Random Banter
I have failed to learn(in no particular order):
French,
Latin,
Spanish,
American Sign Language,
German,
Japanese,
Chinese,
Italian,
and Cherokee.
My girlfriend has tried to teach me a little Hawaiian, and I have several friends who can speak Korean who also say I'm hopeless.
Don't talk to me about being bad at languages.

Re: Destro Yersul's Dangerously Distracting and Doubtlessly Disturbing Random Banter
I'm Canadian, which is close enough, and I appreciate British Humour.
I technically still a teenager, though that'll end in a month or so.
I'm sarcastic and generally amusing, even if only I think so.
I'm sleep deprived, which makes everything inexplicably funny, and I hate French.
I end up NG. Study in contradictions, I am.
I want to learn German, because it's so much fun to yell in, but for now I'm sticking with English. Which means I have an excessive vocabulary in that one language, because I can't be arsed to start learning a new one.I used to do LP's. Currently archived here:

Re: Destro Yersul's Dangerously Distracting and Doubtlessly Disturbing Random Banter
What's so wierd about monologuing to oneself in many languages? But at least I've done the formal letter now.
And I've just remembered something I completely forgot, and even saved deliberately to tell you guys.
In E Lang we had a practice exam paper to do today (warming up for commentary and January) and one of the articles we had to base our directed writing off of was from WIKIPEDIA!
An article in an exam paper.
From Wikipedia.
I had a geeky moment and referenced xkcd all over the paper. And then some other geeky things.
Jermey Clarkson on The British [from Never Mind the Buzzcocks] (paraphrased): " . . . and we, who were raised on a steady diet of fish fingers and drizzle eventually managed to conquer a third of the known world."
Bathatar!

Re: Destro Yersul's Dangerously Distracting and Doubtlessly Disturbing Random Banter
I personally find British accents to sound normal, even if they're fastly different, it might be because I'm used to them though.
Some American accent's annoy me, I was watchign a clip of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind earlier and Jim Carrey's voice was so annoying, of course Kate Winslet's faux-american voice was worse.

I find that when people who don't have an American accent try to put one on, they usually sound like they're imitating someone who has some sort of mental problem. Wonder what that says about most people's opinion of Americans...
