Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
Crowd Gather by me, because today we are going to execute a agent of the government, a enemy of the people, a supporter of modern slavery!
You have no idea what you are dealing with...
We, the people will today deal a crippling blow to the government and their hired goons!
This is but a drop in the sea...
We will remain ever vigilant, our zeal will burn as the sun itself, we have the numbers, we have the will-
Do you think this will change anything at all?
-and there is nothing they can do to stop us now!
Stop us? Hehe...
So any last words Griever or should I just call you Donna Hawthorne?
Do you think your numbers means anything? We will strike you from the shadows, we will kill the few of you that are trying to form any kind of leadership, we will crush this rebellion.
And if we fail, what do you think will happend to your little gathering here? The government will strike you down with everything they got.
You will all die and not only everyone here but all the millions of followers that foolishly belive they have a chance against the government. You will all soon regret that you killed the one that was trying to prevent that.
I will-
Thats enough, your days of protecting the government are offically over, *stabbity*
Protect the government?...*cough* We... were trying to protect you from it...
SpoilerGriever was lynched, he was Donna Hawthorne (alpha)

Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
Woot!
Permission to say:
I ROCK!!!!
I love it when a game comes together.
Now since Griever was a wolf, and particularly since he was Alpha (which actually was very likely given the theory I was working on) I think my theory looks very sound.
Bad luck Griever. Next time don't pick your friends or people who you have worked very successfully with in previous games, to be part of your team. And I'm telling you that because otherwise games start to get too easy when the wolves are too predictable.
In Ultimate Greed, Murska and Griever worked successfully to put Griever on the throne. But there was another who was part of that particular conspiracy, wasn't there Mustiado...

Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
What I meant was that I didn't agree with either of the bandwagons and since I didn't want to know would rather remove someone who is not participating in the game as much. I think that accusing me of decreasing the effectivness of a lynch with such a clear bandwagon is pretty flimsy evidence.

Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
Ok, the update!
It had been a disastrous day for the Dealers.
Their leader crushed, they found solace only in the fact that they would wreak vengeance a hundred fold upon their foes.
One of them moved among the crowd, faceless, unseen.
One of the villagers suddenly stopped, turned, and looked at the dealer. Then shoved his hand in the dealer's pocket, and pulled out a knife. The dealer, his face full of shock, turned and ran, before anyone could catch him.
SpoilerJontom Xire was going to be killed, but, by a stroke of luck, VALIS found it's way to him.

Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
Muhahahahahaha!
Hmm. Needs some work.
Muhahahahahahahahahaaa!!!!
Honestly, did you really think that might work?
The trouble is that that shifts my suspicions from Mustiado a little. Not much though.
I'll do a full analysis (check my spreadsheet and consider the possibilities) in the morning when I get to work.

Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
I've had a think, and actually this makes me more suspicious of Mustiado.
If Mustiado isn't a bad guy, there's no point in the bad guys trying to kill me so as to get him lynched for sure, because he was sure to get lynched anyway.
If Mustiado is a bad guy then A) he gets a bit of revenge for the damage I've inflicted on his team, and B) he can claim to be framed by the wolves and maybe escape lynching.
In other words only the scenario where Mustiado IS a bad guy gives a valid reason for trying to kill me when it's extremely likely that I'm still immune/baned.

Why not? I'll vote for Mustiado as well. At least this one isn't based on a joke.

Wait, what?
But I was fra... Oh, I see what you did there.
Hum. Honestly, I have very little rebuttal for this logic. Both well reasoned by JX, and then well played by the wolves for setting me up so. I don't even have a more viable lead to offer.
If you have to, go ahead and lynch me. I've always said losing a villager isn't too big a waste, especially when it removes a source of suspicion.
Istari, just because I'm not suicidal.
Also: JX, your picture broke. ?:(

Hmmmm... I'm going to take Mustiado's word, for what's it worth. I realise this will make me look very suspicious if he turns out to be wolf, but I'm willing to take a risk. Besides, bandwagon three days in a row brings us a little information, even if they get us a wolf or two.

Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
"Success is a very hideous thing, and its resemblance with merit deceives men. For the herd, success has nearly the same profile as supremacy. Success ... has a dupe in history... In our days an almost official philosophy wears the livery of success, and waits in its anteroom. Succeed, that is the theory, for prosperity presupposes capacity. Win in the lottery and you are a clever man, for he who triumphs is revered... The mob is an old Narcissus, adoring itself and applauding the mob... They confound with the constellations of profundity the stars which the duck's feet make in the soft mud of the pond."

Hmm... if Mordy and Mustiado are both wolves, it would make a lot more sense for Mordy to point at Mustiado, seeing as we're already suspicious of Mordy anyway. That made more sense in my head.

Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
My server died. I hadn't been maintaining it, hadn't even logged on for 6 months or something, and I think the twice monthly backups overflowed the hard drive and some files got corrupted. I tried repairing, but it failed starting processes during boot-up. Then I tried re-installing on top, and I think that just generated even more corruption actually. I think it's probably totally dead now, but I'm going to have a go at booting up in "safe mode" as it were and then repairing, otherwise it'll be a case of backing up as many files as possible then formatting the hard drive and re-installing. At least if I reinstall with the latest version then there is a chance that the annoying desktop crash will be fixed.
Anyway, compare 6 months of total neglect on Linux (Xubuntu) without a single crash or reboot, to Microsoft Windows and needing to reboot on a regular basis.
Nothing to do with the fact that he keeps pointing at you then?
