Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
The misunderstanding was probably because those stereotypes are much more commonly applied to elves, not fairies.

...no misunderstanding, that's exactly what I was saying
Look, I'll just go back and edit it to make it more clear

More freshly-baked demotivators! No, no need to sell me your immortal soul for the privilege of gazing upon my genius wit, though I would accept a small donation of prayers and gold thrown at my feet. I also accept first-born children.

Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
You messed up on a pair, with the first having a quote in the URL and the other missing the second square bracket at the first part of it's IMG tag.
I also think that that is the largest dump not be me that I've seen in a while. Kudos.

Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
He's from an anime, and the joke is funny because at least one theme of the named RPG mechanic, probably more than one, can also be considered a theme of the depicted character. As noted by the subtext, it is also funny because if this character were considered to be an example of the named RPG mechanic, he would subvert one of the common assumptions about it in a way that would not render the mechanic invalid.
I think I've just described about 1/4 of the posters here.

It'd be nice to see some more that don't require intimate knowledge of the obscure source image to understand...

Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
I did. That's why I put up those images.
From them are Street Fighter, Sailor Moon, Dragon Age 2, Marvel, and Legend of Galactic Heroes.
EDIT: And Chouji Suitengu up there is from Speed Grapher. Quite good show, if a little on the mature side.Last edited by Leliel; 2011-03-14 at 11:16 AM.

To be honest, on the Fiends one, I first mistook the chicken leg for a breast and thought it was woman... cue wondering why a woman had such a hairy chest and chin.

Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
Check out the movie if you liked the picture. I can't speak for the originals but the remake that it's from was really great.

Both. I'd never take that action during a game, even if I could. The joke is from Mr Welch and it's a play on the famous Dead Alewives' skit.

I could only spot around 6 in there that I hadn't seen before... On these threads, that is. Nice dump, but most of those have already been posted.

Re: D&D Demotivators III: My PCs Did What?
A man who dies fighting with his principles intact dies in glory. To expect enemies to follow the same code of honor defiles that honor, reducing it to a set of arbitrary rules.
