Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
I don't know why 5-25 is Towel Day, but Towel Day is the day that Hitchhiker Fans celebrate Douglas Adams by carrying towels around. It could also be considered a reminder to everyone that they should always carry a towel.
You might be curious why you should always carry a towel. Well, here is the reason as explained in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
SpoilerA towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (such a mind-bogglingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.

Well, I do know why you should keep a towel around, just wasn't sure why today of all days was towel day.

I got VAC banned in COD: Ghosts for using an FOV changer.
I try not to think of how sad that is.

Not even. Holiday in Cambodia popped up on Spotify and I fell in love.
Want to have jealouses?
I get to see Bad Religion AND Ceremony (and also a whole pile of bands that I'm tangentially interested in but will see anyways), FOR FREE.
And a bunch of bands I've never really listened to, like Oberhofer, Of Montreal, the Flaming Lips, and Good Riddance. But hey, it's free, so why not?

Hose pipe water is pretty boss.
Doesn't hurt that I'm on well water, so I get really tasty stuff.
Also, Imagine Dragons is painfully awesome.

Okay, Dragonball Evolution is on TV and it is so horribly bad it's kinda funny.
I have no idea who thought it would be a good idea to make a live action version, but they should be shot <_<Witness my glory and know that when my darkness fades, if you yet live, it is because an ally does not.

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
*now-a-senior five* I'm gonna walk around be like 'yeah i'm a senior' and people will be like 'whoa.' Or that's how I'm thinking it. Maybe not going to happen that way.
I actually still have to physically go to my school for over-summer activity stuff for the next few weeks. My summer starts on June 16th's afternoon, when it's all over and done with forever.

So yesterday I watched Highlander. Now I'm watching the 90's tv show. Oh man, what an awesome franchise. What a shame that it sunk all the way down to becoming a Sci-Fi original movie.

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
I dunno. I don't WANT to use motion controls. So PLEASE give us the now-retro (So weird to say that.) GameCube controller option and let us play Pikmin 3 like it was one. Complete with a limited amount of time, I hope. (Or at least the OPTION to. Made it so much more fun.)

Re: Elemental's Excitingly Excellent Random Banter: No.CLXXVII
Uh...you do know that Pikmin 3 is probably not going to be using motion controls, right?
The way I see it, it'll have fourish modes. One, using the pad thing, allowing you to do tactical movements on the screen in your controller. Two, the beforementioned screen is just a map, and it plays like normal Pikmin. Three, it'll use the (actually really superior for the game type) Wii based controls. And four, Gamecube controls. Seeing as how the Wii U is confirmed to have support for Gamecube controllers, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case.
