Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
Did you try a different browser? I don't know what you're currently using, but I once had Firefox messing up some Photobucket cookies, resulting in no Photobucket (or something like that, I deleted the cookies and it worked again). Maybe it's a similar problem.
Edit: Or it's Thai censorship? http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/.../t-643418.html
@V Why would they want to block quicktopic? That's just stupid...

Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
No, I am from Australia and the government has given out laptops to all high school students but most sites are blocked and the QTs don't work...
I could probably do it anyway on my iPod though... Hmm well whatever you want shadzy PMs are easier as I can do them while at school but if you would prefer QT then I can also do that."The leaves rustle and you look up to see... (Insert Selected Creature(s))!
What do you do?
...
Well then, roll for initiative!

Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
Well, I'll be starting this up when I get 1 more player.
(I really couldn't possibly play it without 20, at the very least.)

Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
Probably bandwidth or something. My high school had GitP permablocked, and for a while while they were figuring out bandwidth issues Youtube got blocked, Wikipedia got blocked (that was annoying), and every e-mail service got blocked, from gmail to aol.
On a more relevant note, I think that makes a game.I follow a general rule: better to ask and be told no than not to ask at all.

Sorry, I've been spending time rebalancing the setup, because I needed to reduce the number of roles, it WILL however be out by tonight or tomorrow, I have the first narration all set to go.

Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
Sk'iia went about her normal course of lighting the dim lanterns
which would remain lit for the rest of the day.
Once she had succeeded in her mundane task, she went to make herself a little coffee in the kitchen in the centre hall owned by the priest.
As she was nearing the hall she realised that it was about the time when the priest was supposed to be doing the rites in the top of the bell tower.
But his silhouette was missing from the tower.
She quicken her pace a little and soon found herself in her destination, or just outside of it, what she saw inside made her recoil in fear.
The priest was standing in the middle of a rune circle,
Defending himself against what appeared to be a man, but from looking at it for a short amount of time you could tell that it didn't classify as being mortal.
'Give up old man, you'll eventually lose anyway, no matter how many times you defeat me,' the voice rasped, as something scraped across a surface, 'How many times do you think you can beat me? in the end it's all pointless anyway.'
'NO!!! I will certainly NOT let you have the island, anymore than I let you the last hundred times, I've earned this isle by right, and I will protect it!!'
The creature's eyes slid sideways, 'Oh my...' It's tongue made a slurping sound across it's lips, 'What, do we have here? Someone trying to hide from my gaze? I can smell your fear...' it made a motion as if sniffing the air, 'Ah Yes, delicious.... Mmmmm....'
'Sk'iia? No, what are you doing here, get away, before...' As he was speaking a tendril lashed out towards sk'iia from where the creature was standing.
The priest moved like a blur to move inbetween the creature and Sk'iia and block the blow with his hand.
'You can't have her, I WON'T LET YOU INVOLVE ANY MORE INNOCENTS!!!!'
With that his body glowed full of light and the creature retreated hasitly, vanishing into the everpresent mist.
The Priest slumped down next to Sk'iia, 'He got away... I... Need to go find him...' The piece of the arm that the priest had used to block the tendril was gored and bleeding.
'Wait, you sit down and rest, I'll go find something to fix that up for you, She spoke in a soft but caring tone, 'So you can resume your fight with that... that... thing.'
With that she went to find some bandages, which wasn't all that hard in the priests building, as he was a healer by trade.
When she got back the priest wasn't moving, 'Priest? PRIEST! Wake up, there's things you need to...' Then she noticed the large Daicchi knife protruding from his chest, '...do...'

Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
Wow, Runebound. This just isn't your week, is it?
I think the priority should be finding the Mysterious. With a smaller number of players, that thing is really dangerous.I follow a general rule: better to ask and be told no than not to ask at all.

Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
Looks like
C'noris seventeenth this time.
So, considering how complex this thing looks, should we all claim our trait scry abilities to give us something to compare tonight?Last edited by Internet Flea; 2012-06-18 at 08:39 PM.

Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
Question: Is there always a lynch, or only if we get 75%?
Also, Ur-Quan. Partially random, and partially minor vendetta. Mostly random.
I don't see an issue with sharing those. But you first.I follow a general rule: better to ask and be told no than not to ask at all.

Let's start with Istari.
@IF: Are you asking the seer, devil and neutral scrier to claim?

Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
No, I think he's asking everyone to claim Garbage Collector, Lookout, or Matcher. Since everyone has one of those.
I follow a general rule: better to ask and be told no than not to ask at all.

Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
Vesth, I didn't get the impression that there was supposed to be any logical link between the trait and what it meant.

I can see Happiness, Honour and Valour being wolf traits.

Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
Traits: Each player has three traits, which are defined as following:
1. The alignment, Town/wolf etc.
2. The main role, all trait scriers etc. have the same trait here, even if they're good/evil/neutral.
3. The side role, their are only three different things people can have here.
Traits aren't named what they are, say wolf alignment is Boredom, and being a killer role was ADHD, and having a side role of Garbage collector was Trolling, then you'd scry a wolf killer with a garbage collector as 'ADHD, Boredom, Trolling'. You just have to figure out what traits are what. The traits will be given to you alphabetically, so that you can't figure out anything out of that. The traits will be selected randomly at game begin, as of now, there aren't any traits assigned to anything.

Re: Traits WW: The misty isle
I meant like something being considered a positive trait in a person and what that trait meant about a person. Yes, each trait is linked to a role/alignment/trait scry, but any trait could mean anything.
I honestly agree that the seers should self scry first.I follow a general rule: better to ask and be told no than not to ask at all.
