    Hey Haluesen!

I'm doing good myself. Just came home from a party at a friend's place with the premise of emptying her house of alcohol before she's moving, so I'm a bit drunk, pretty hungry and just starting to get tired enough to regret having decided to pull an all-nighter (because my sleep schedule is very skewed right now, I woke up at 16).

    How are you doing?

Ahh, yes, that makes more sense. I have objections against using ^ and v, but those are stylistic only.

That would be a pretty cool idea. I do hope it works. I'll try to remember you have a Patreon so that when I am a Worker myself I can contribute to it.

It's good to hear that you're doing well Teddy! I'd have messaged earlier but my sis was teaching me World of Warcraft, forgot to return to check here. Sounds like a fun time, even if that all-night schedule is scary. I know the feeling, though it has been awhile.

I'm doing pretty good. Uncle to two nieces, so it's been nice getting to know them and watching how silly babies are sometimes. And I've been pretty good at typical taking care stuff. Still with my grandma helping her out, she had a big surgery on her shoulder some time ago and needed me around, and she's doing fairly better now. Obviously more than that has happened, but in general I'm feeling pretty good.

Hey there Finny! Good to see you here! Yeah, I get bad about not staying in touch sometimes...I try to fix it, I swear! XD

Life's been pretty good. Stuff like I mentioned there to Teddy about being an uncle, looking for work and trying to learn game design stuff, not the best at communicating with friends lately but I've been closer to my family than I've been before so that's happy. I'd say life has been confusing but nice. How've you been doing?

The north of Spain is beautiful, i encourage your travel over the Pyrenees, if you have time go to the Val d'Aran you wonīt regret it. About the traffic, well, i must say that many spaniards think that rules are not for them, be cautious and all will be ok. Itīs worst inside the cities than in the highways.

Ack, hey, no one's called me Finny in ages. I don't like the nickname but I feel like I can't stop you from using it.

Ahhhh! Two nieces! I've got two nephews now. The older is my godson and is turning 5 in two weeks, and the babby one was born in April... we're betting he's going to become a weightlifter based on his current body shape. His big bro has always been super slender like his dad, but brave babby is clearly from my side of the family.

My big sister who lives in Japan is now in Finland and I'm going to Helsinki next week for two days to meet up with her. I've not seen her in four years... many tears will be shed, bawling will commece!

Trying to deal with uni stuff right now. The summer hasn't been the best but at the same time the most enjoyable I've had in a couple of years. Mr. Man dumped me, but it seems like all of my friends here in Finland are breaking up. I think it's a mid-20s crisis thing? Ah well. I don't really care right now, just enjoying dem single lifesies and as you can see from earlier posts, I'm going to Spain with one of my best friends next year. WE WILL TRY TO NOT DIE FROM THE VAST AMOUNTS OF SANGRIA. I swear.

Yeah, we'll mostly be on the highways and possibly mountain roads due to Pyrenees. Though a bit of city driving will be involved... I'll just make my friend drive because I suck at it and will likely die from pure panic. Not even a regular car accident, just freezing and dropping dead when seeing the traffic.

I really should. I kinda get caught up with lots of channels...sorry I haven't watched yours recently. I'll have to try to make some time today, gonna be busy in the city for awhile though.

But yeah, I was missing everyone. I really needed to come back.

Actually I'm pretty good with accommodating that kinda thing. No more Finny then if you would prefer, but now I gotta come up with something wildly original. I'll let you know when I have a good idea, of course suggestions are welcome.

Awwwe that's wonderful! Especially with the godson thing, that's great! I wish an early Happy Birthday to the one who is soon to be 5. Funny thing, both nieces were both last November, within a week of each other. That's gonna be a fun week this year, 2 first birthdays! One of them is so big for her age, and has tons of curly hair. She's a sweetie. The other can be a little bit of a handful sometimes but she is learning so fast. Just learned to crawl and is already trying to use things to stand up. Go little brave baby, go!

That sounds like a pretty great reunion. I hope you two have a beautiful time. And all the way out from Japan too? That's pretty cool, always wanted to see there.

Yeah it's true, life does go on in odd ways. Must be a 20's thing, I'm seeing it with others too. But I'm glad to hear about the uni stuff, and hope it goes very well for you. I'm trying to go with self-teaching now, since there are too many worries with trying to get into online colleges here. But a trip out to another country? SWEET! Now that is really cool. ENJOY THE SANGRIA. BUT LIIIIVE!

Brave babby is only 4 months old and he's already crawling (and apparently has tried to stand up but isn't really getting the hang of it). I wonder if he's like... X-Men level mutant or something. Super strong, too. Isn't pulling hair yet, though, so that's a bonus. But yes! It's so weird looking at how differently kids grow up, especially between being born and 3 years of age. Your nieces are gonna have a fun time growing up together - hopefully! Do you all live in the same area? I wish they'll be close to each other not by just their birthday but otherwise too.

Yeah I'm super excited. Hopefulyl she'll be able to visit Finland maybe every other year in the future, since her travelling plans have always been shadowed by her visa. She's gotten one year visas so far, though she's hoping she'll get a 2 or 5 year one now... I mean her visa application has already been processed, but I've not actually heard what the outcome was. The visa doesn't limit her travelling in a way, but it's still stressful. And Japan isn't the cheapest place to live...

Deffo! Kinda hoping that we would both be single when we get to Spain because I don't want to deal with her being in contact with some guy whilst I wanna have fun strolling around the city without worries. ... also hoping I won't be in a relationship either. not just for the sake of the trip but also because I reeeeally need to spend time being single and focus on getting to know new people and meeting possible suitors along the way. But ugh. I don't want to date. GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN (imagine two Finnish women in their mid 20s, skipping around the streets of Madrid, getting lost, fighting with each other because they can't stand each others faces, then driving to the Pyrenees all excited and writing post cards to people.... not forgetting the wild nights with our new friend called sangria)

Good luck catching up I'm like 20 episodes into Ocarina of Time, and have started up the "Throwback Thursday" where I reupload old videos of me doing voice commentary with my good friend Hell Mic, the mic from hell. The one that at one point literally explodes.

Got a couple people bitching that it's too linear (nothing really "opens up" until they reach the first town, which will happen at the end of next session if they beat the next battle), one person dropped without a word either on Skype or in-game... slightly demoralized. But it's my own fault, having advertised and filled so many slots. 8 people is cat herding territory. With bad luck I'll be losing two more after next week... we'll see.

Be glad for the no hair pulling. One of these two here goes for hair and glasses. I'm happy she doesn't have super strength. The standing up is fun to watch though. Babies can be so courageous...or foolish, whichever. But yeah we live kinda close, other sister is about an hour drive away. The two little girls have met but only once.

I admit the visa talk goes over my head. ^_^; My family doesn't travel much. Sounds like difficulties though. Japan is very expensive? I guess that would make some sense. But I do hope she can get to see you. That meet-up sound like it will be a fantastic thing.

Single life is well enough. Normally to each their own but I generally agree with the lifestyle working decently well. Like you said, it'd suck to have extra communication going on while you two are trying to have fun. Personally I'd like a relationship only after I've worked on my own life a bit. Growing to do, skills to learn, need to be a better me. One with better jokes, at least. That trip does sound like a very wonderful time though, such fun and silliness, it's great!

Yeesh, sounds like a tough crowd. But if those people stay then more than likely they are the good sort to keep around for games. 8 people IS a pretty big set-up though. I actually hope it goes back to that way and that you can manage it, because it'd be very impressive.

I think the "linear" problem is the bigger one. So far they're just reading my story as it happens with very little in the way to do.

That will change after the next session. Once they beat the gang guarding the bridges to the town, a LOT of paths open up.

And now off to my OTHER Roll20 session... this one with just four people and one decided to be MIA...

@Aegis J Hyena - how many sessions were "linear"? I can understand that a long-term linear campaign can get on peoples' nerves, but if this was just a starting session...

Good luck on your next session. Aren't there any stand-ins on the lines, waiting eager to join in...?

And now off to my OTHER Roll20 session... this one with just four people and one decided to be MIA...
I guess some can get weary of that sort of thing. Have you let them know it opens up more. Also A-hole gangs.

ION: Well okay then life. I got in touch with the new wife of the not-father on accident...so this will be interesting. Also usually a baby is nice in the morning...so she chose this morning/noon to be very loud during her meal. Yeah, I mean that's how babies are sometimes, but still it could have been any morning but today's.

Doing pretty well. How about you, on the whole?

You've probably answered that already, so.

Melting onto the blanket I'm sitting on? I mean, changing what I am wouldn't have much effect on where I am...

Unless that was meant as a roundabout way of asking "where do you keep your butter" in which case: the fridge.

Good luck on your next session. Aren't there any stand-ins on the lines, waiting eager to join in...?
No, it was the third session. The first was listening to the knight spin his plan, the second was a three hour combat (8 players vs a tribe of 20-some angry anthropomorphs infected with a rage virus) and the third was getting through two more encounters. After they beat this last encounter before the village, they'll have a bunch of choices (go into the cave to shut off the Mists... head for a wizard's tower... stick by a gnoll and make sure he doesn't kill everyone and go back on his promise... or eat kids... or set the village on fire... said gnoll regens 6 HP per round for story reasons so it's not like he can be easily killed).

Edit: No room in that particular one. 8 people already and it's like herding cats. I DO have one, potentially two spaces in my second game (an all-anthropomorphic one) I run on Sundays. You want that one? Message me on Skype (Sassilraxius).

Well today was kinda frustrating. But last week was good, rest of the week should be okay. General news I've already answered: now an uncle to two nieces, planning for the future, game stuff.

If I was where I would normally be, I'd be in the fridge. If I was where I want to be, I'd be in the grocery store still. If I was where I am now then I'd be laying in bed.

Huh. How have I never actually stuck my head in here before? Those dang intimidating high thread numbers must be to blame.

Regardless, hello, all. Especially Hal, haven't seen you for a bit.

As for a stick of butter? I'd either have to be hiding way far back in the cupboard, or else being licked to death by my cat were I anywhere else.

Thanks for the offer - but can't really join - I'm CET and my time for gaming is quite limited (and as I have a small daughter, I don't get enough sleep as it is, removing another block could prove fatal) .

As for the cat-herding, I can understand that - I've had once played a weekend session in a forest cottage with 8 people (4 total newbies). After the weekend I felt like my head was going to explode. And getting them all there - and on time - was quite the logistical feat.

Also, I usually play humans . Or dwarves.

And how did this session go?
Call me Laco or Ladislav (if you need to be formal). Avatar comes from the talented linklele.

Saturday's session was quiet, couple people might bail if it remains too linear.

Sunday's was a lot more fun... didn't get very far as the story is still "unfolding". Next week is the "Siege of Three Seeds", which could go a number of ways.

I'm suspecting that the hair pulling will commence in a couple of months. He likes to grab stuff but can't really hold them for that long... he's practicing. His big brothah loved to pull off my glasses, but I think he got used to them very quick since his dad has them, both of my brother-in-laws' parents have them and my mum has speccies too. And as time goes along and hopefully everyone's in good terms with each other I wouldn't be surprised if they got to see each other much more often.

Gotta say that I am very privileged that I've been able to travel to a lot of countries. We weren't rich, middle class but not below the poverty line either... just somehow my parents pulled the money out of their arses and lo and behold we did round trips around Europe in... holy crap. '97, '99, '01 and '03. We did go to Holland to my godparents' place to celebrate the millenium... I guess that counts too. And me, my dad and my sister went for a round trip around Europe again in 2008. Looking back a lot of the money could have been used on better things and there were a lot of times that I hated being with my family especially when I grew older from the excited nearly-5-year-old me going abroad for the first time. Hope I don't sound like I'm bragging. it's just... crazy what my parents have done for us kids. not amazing. CRAZY.

It's not helping that she's having like three Tinder dates within the next two weeks. Though she said that she's not exactly sure if she wants anything out of them... AND ALL I WANT FROM HER IS GURL POWAH.
