Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
I think I'm gonna call it a night as well. Gotta get up bright and early tomorrow so I can cram for a few hours before my exam.
G'night all. Play nice while I'm gone.

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
I dance extremely frequently, often when idle, bored, or pensive. I do this in public, without fear of embarrassment.
However, I violently resist attempts to actually learn any dances. To me, that's almost defeating the point--improvisation is half the fun.Spoiler<-I won this from Dr. Bath.Spoiler

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
I'm a bit of two minds about such things. On the one hand, I very much enjoy improvisation and generally don't feel embarrassment once I actually feel like dancing rather than being put on the spot to start out of the blue.
On the other, I very much enjoy the idea of being able to actually sweep someone off their feet with such skillsand the know-how to do some of the more established dances.

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
*Points* You. I like you.
During intermission yesterday, myself, a couple friends, and another friend on my tech crew danced to Together We Ride from Fire Emblem, playing it from the tech-friend's DS. Yes it was irresponsible, given there was a minute left before the play was supposed to start again. But damn, it was amusing.

*takes a bow*
What play were you all in intermission from, and what were your roles in the production? Or were you some of the patrons?
Also. Shining Force.

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
It was a play written by the drama class three years ago. Generally, this class writes their own play, but this year, not enough students showed up, so they did a composite with the choir class, and made an old play a musical. I was Stage Manager, since scheduling issues with my other classes didn't let me be in the class.

There were like six of us, an actor, three actresses and then my techie buddy and me.
Besides, everyone knows Willy Wonka doesn't actually do anything. Hell, we even do the singing!

Nighters, Mate!
Silly me not reading properly...x.x ...Really, the Oompa Loompas were the best part of the first one, I believe.
I can't remember anything notable about them at all from the Johnny Depp movie. Then again, I've only seen that one once compared to the oodles of times for the older one. Ah gene wilder....
Hmm, what's the best date movie out right now?

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
But the real question on everyone's minds is not whether phase will stay awake. Being that he is the moon, such trivialities are beneath him, he only does it to humor us after all.
No, it is whether dish truly is as covered in kitties as she leads us to believe.
*counts them* one kitty, two kitties, three kitties, four kitties, five kitties, six! six kitties! Ah ah ah!
I still have her beat, it seems. Unfortunately.

I work the graveyard shift. People wonder how I do it. I never see it as a big deal personally.

I'm awake because, let's face it, I have nothing better to do.
I don't start classes for another week, I have no job, and absolutely no reason to NOT be awake for another two or so hours.

Re: TwoBitWriter's Tubular Tracts of Thought-Talking Random Banter #111
Something about the graveyard shift always seems particularly soul crushing to me. Then again, that's just how it felt for me the few times I've had to deal with such things...
Then again, that might just be my bias from when I went to visit a friend from high school over the holidays and was horrified by how zombified and joyless her existence had become between class and working the graveyard shift as tech support at her college's library. And she had a history of boarding schools.
*shudder* Bad memories. Bad memories.
Also, I have been accused of being warm and caring.
