Re: Idiosyncrasy
Ok guys. Here's an update because the current IA entry I'm working on is alot of work. So I decided to take a break from it. Enjoy the update.

Re: Idiosyncrasy
I'm sure you guys are wondering what the heck is taking me so long to update!
Well, I had a bunch of exams (which are over now), I'm competing in the Iron Avatarist (which is higher in priority because of time limit), and the web site I have that posts my comics isn't letting me post more then 20 pages. So as soon as I solve problem #3 and I run out of ideas for Iron Avatarist, updates will resume. When? I don't know.

Well, I solved problem #3, and I'm out of ideas for the Iron Avatarist. So to brainstorm for ideas, I guess I'll try working on an update.

Re: Idiosyncrasy
Well, I was rereading the thread and I noticed this post.
That made me think, "I just said it was an illusion, dammit!" I just wanted to post this because I thought it was funny.
Oh and I can't update tonight because I got a call from my school group project who wants me to make a picture, so I'm focusing on that.

Re: Idiosyncrasy
Thank you, Haktor!
Alright, good news first. My school group loved the picture I made for our project. (Cheering in the background!)
Then they asked me to do another one.
So, no comic update. Sorry. The only good thing is that this current picture I'm working on I can put into the Iron Avatarist. So, look for it there.

Re: Idiosyncrasy
hope you can update soon Silverraptor. Once it gets to the main plotline I think I'll enjoy this almost as much as Antiheroes!
Sorry. your comic ain't quite OOTS calibre.
. This is the first word system I've seen that has ain't as an actual word.

Re: Idiosyncrasy
no. I mean every other word system I've seen has "ain't" as a misspelling. I know idiosyncrasy is an actual word.

Re: Idiosyncrasy
I actually didn't know that word until I read this... Then they had a question on the PSAT about it, and I was all "I know that one!"

Re: Idiosyncrasy
I do not. I think it was straight up vocabulary, or perhaps a vocab question within the reading section. I didn't even have to think before circling 'Personal mannerism'.

Re: Idiosyncrasy
Oh well, glad I could help. I actually came across this word in an interesting way. I remembered from Monty Python and the Holy Grail that Sir Lancelot would stutter over words and Concord would help him out. I remember he said "idiom". I was told that meant the "way you do things" and liked that as an answer to some questions to when I do weird things. Then I was corrected that it wasn't what it meant, so I asked the person if they knew a word that meant the definition I was after. And so they pointed me to Idiosyncrasy.

Re: Idiosyncrasy
Might've actually been Idiosyncratic, but that's just changing forms :P

Re: Idiosyncrasy
I'm sure I owe you guys an update comic right now. And with all the updates in the other fan comics, I decided to say 'screw you life' and update to Comic #20.
YAY!! Celebration!
And remember that one comic I told you guys that I was excited to do but was unhappy with the result. Well, it was the opposite for this one. I wasn't eager to work on this, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. It looks alot better then what I pictured it in my head.
So everyone enjoy the new update!

Because I'm obnoxious!
I'd like to claim all credit for the depiction of the Raptor character. *bow* Thank you, thank you, you're too kind.

Re: Idiosyncrasy
And I'd like to point out that she indeed drew the raptor for me. I've always had trouble with it so she'll draw the poses for me. Then I'll alter it slightly as I see fit, but the majority of the work comes from her.

Re: Idiosyncrasy
Spoiler'd due to length of tangent.
And, if you have a tablet or scanner, try drawing it by hand; it helps a lot. If Mauve's happy with giving you so many poses, though, I suppose it doesn't really matter :PSpoilerMeh. I took the SATs in 6th grade and it was the hardest thing I'd ever done. To be honest, though, I've heard from almost anyone it's no sweat; I'm not expecting it to be harda t all. It's more of a standardized test-taking test, as the questions are all easily answerable if you've taken the classes. The math is possibly the easiest thing ever after all the problem-solving stuff I've taken... It seriously feels like just Arithmatic, which is no problem at all for someone in Calculus. Besides, 7th grade is a very bad judge for it, as I was only taking Geometry then; the vast majority of the questions on each test are Geo questions.
I didn't know a couple of the vocabulary questions, but they were easy to infer. Methinks all the MMOs and PbPs have helped with grammar a lot, too.Last edited by Wreckingrocc; 2009-10-18 at 12:36 PM.
