Welcome to D&D, where spellcasters rule supreme. Protection from Arrows does the following: prevent a quantity of damage from being given to you by ranged attacks. IIRC, 10 damage per spellcaster level.

A crossbow does about 1d8 damage. A handgun probably does about 2d6 damage. A level 3 wizard might be able to take a bulled to the head and survive, although the following ones would probably pierce his head and result in his brains redecorating the local landscape.

Perhaps, but here isn't D&D. Overpowered wizards have no place in neither FFF:R nor FI.

Yeah, but keep in mind that A Date With the Q is entirely non-canon. It's an alternate continuity where both Qs are super bi and in a relationship apperently. Usually, in canon comics, they are QUITE straight(ish).
