Near Wenomir, Czernov flickers into existence, his skin a buzzing like bad static, his eyes a whirling mess of background radiation, his tight muscles and close-cropped hair shivering with poor projection skills, his voice, as he tries to speak, a whining buzz of something from another television programme being broadcast onto yours from several countries away..

[Morty]

Wenomir jumps up, startled. His eyes go wide. What the- Czernov?!

[Kaelaroth]

The Czernov-thing bleeds, its skin a pulsing quasar of bad signal as its eyes, wide open, scream as much as its mouth does. It reaches out with crackling hands for Wenomir, eyes so wide...

HL TAPD HLL H'S HR RN RN RN HL!

... Its words crackling remnants of words spoken from far, far away...

Wha- wh- how? Wenomir looks about rather frantically. Does anyone know what's going on? None of the people in the room know Czernov for all he knows, but maybe they know how and why he appeared here.

Jeremy simply acts on instincts to the image appearing, drawing his pistol with remarkable speed. He's kinda on edge for the moment with all that's happened to him. He doesn't fire, but shakes his head at Wenomir's question.

How the hell would the new guy know what was going on?

Turtle tries to use her minor sorcery to adjust the 'tuning' of the message and make it easier to understand. Metaphysically Like wiggling the antenna of a radio to get a better signal.

This isn't something she's ever tried before, so may or may not succeed.

The Czernov-thing continues to distort and fluctuate, taking a juddering step towards Wenomir, causing sparks of electrical energy to ripple out from his shivering feet, his eyes still wide with worry, pain, and intent.

Even despite his impure and corrupted form, his poor presentation, anyone watching should still be able to pick out the occasional detail on his flesh - the muscles he took such pride building in life, the tattoo he'd gotten the day before he and his friend fell through their portal into the Nexus, the scars lining his flesh where he'd been tormented in Hell.

What was that last part?

Meanwhile, he continues to try and speak, his voice still a crackle on the radio built by fools... Turtle's tuning does something... Makes what he says louder!

Dammit. It's still jumbled nonsense to me. Wenomir shakes his head.

[Kaelaroth]

Turtle's magic presumably still in effect despite her player's deadtime, the Czernov-thing barks out another crackling few words.

...Reinholdt? Now we're getting somewhere... Not very far, though.

[Kaelaroth]

The Czernov-thing crackles and wails, taking another juddering step towards Wenomir - before its eyes catch sight of Jeremy's weapon, and it falters backwards...

Jeremy notices and drops the weapon, letting it hang on it'd dummy chord as he takes a step back, hands open to show he has nothing. Something important was going on, and he wasn't going to mess it up.

[Morty]

I know this guy, Wenomir says to everyone in the room. He's Czernov, the former president of Good League of Good. He's dead, and it seems he's trying to tell us something from the other side. Way to go, Captain Obvious.

[Kaelaroth]

Hel Hz Faln. Ve Shepherd Hz Hel. He Feez Hs Fther. Th'End Is Igh!

The Czernov-thing crackles out, looking, now, directly at Happy, and then Wenomir.

Rn, Ol Frens, Rn.

Honestly. If he's going to cross the divide, couldn't he at least learn how to spe- Oh. Oh! Something, somewhere, has just stabbed Czernov in the back. Literally. The shadow hint of a blade has just emerged through his chest, as if back from wherever he is, someone's shoved a whole, huge sword through him from behind...

Ouch?

Wenomir backs away. That was much clearer, with "Shepherd", "Father" and "Run, old friends, run". ...crap.

[Kaelaroth]

The Czernov-thing crackles, wailing.

NXT H'LL BRN BK A WARRR. N'T FOET SAE TH'ORNS FRO'IS WATH. IZ FATHR WILAKE. ANGELS! RN, PLE, I AN'T HOD ON ANYM'

And it is gone.
Just like that.

[Ashen Lilies]

"That's ominous." Says KR, who was suddenly there the whole time. "If Hell has fallen, that can't mean anything good."
Of course then Czernov gets stabbed and that means KR has to do something rash. Bounding forward, tingles of magic and half-shaped spells already formed on her fingers, she attempts to grab Czernov's... soul(?) and attempt to pull him over completely. If hell is already falling and Reinholdt (Prime) or Sheperd or both escaping, one more couldn't hurt, right? Of course, she'll probably fail miserably, but hey, she has been practicing her soul magic since that one guy from Lethargia pretty much died in her arms.

EDIT: Well damn.

As if we didn't have enough problems, Wenomir grumbles.

Jeremy looks at the others in the room, all but asking What the Hell is going on? He'd say that if he could speak, but writing it would just make it lose it's impact.

[Kaelaroth]

There is no sign of Czernov. Silent, there.

Shawna, meanwhile, looks a bit vacant, her eyes defocused.
As she processes the mysterious messages!

"Hmm... looks like Shawna's player is waiting for someone to come up with more of a translation in the ooc thread before she can open her eyes and tell us IC. "The message is garbled sufficently that I cannot make out all the words," Shawna says, her eyes focusing again. "However, I may be able to discern some of the words through careful processing of the signal. I will be in the computer room attempting to decode it."

Jeremy looks around again, feeling a bit out of place and lost. After a moment, he passes Shawna an index card. Is there a room I can stay at? I have to unpack certain things. It'd help if there was a workshop as well. Some of this is volatile. He shoulders his pack a bit roughly, causing things to rattle around a bit.

Shawna accepts the card, reads it, then looks up at Jeremy and nods. "I believe there are some rooms available, if you can follow me? There are workshops as well, although I am still fairly new here, myself, and am not entirely sure about all the details of the base at this time."

And she leads the way torwards Accomodations.

Jeremy follows her, and once to his room, passes her another note as he unpacks. Are there any specific targets we're supposed to keep a look out for?

Shawna will see him unpack a lot of weapons. A hunting rifle, sawn off shotgun, assault shotgun, several large and deadly looking knives, brass knuckles, things that could only be grenades...

Yeah...he's stocked up.

"It seems you expected the end of the world," Shawna observes dryly. "There are a multitude of threats about, however aside from those you have already mentioned, there are none that come immediately to mind to mention. Aside from this Reinholdt."

Jeremy takes a moment to write her another note before putting ammo boxes away and onto shelves. I've been betrayed, tortured, and am now hunted. I'm not going to go down easily. Who is he? Once the ammo is out, he pulls out something that don't seem to fit. Boxes of candy.
