    Default Wait ... Elan assigned his Int stat?

    I refer to panel 1 of 786 .

    This raises a number of interesting questions which I suppose only Rich Burlew can answer.

    1) Elan was born the same way other babies were born in OOTS, right? So how did he have the choice to assign his dump stat? I thought he was dumb because Nale smacked him in the soft skull as an infant.

    2) Is there a distinct difference between PCs and NPCs in this world?

    3) If so, how do the characters in the story know which is which?

    Only Rich can answer, but the rest of us can of course speculate. How DOES this work?

    Could just be a one-off joke by Belkar. Of course, being a PC, perhaps Elan did have a choice in where his dump stat goes. This could be a metagame comment, too.
