Perhaps it would be worth repurposing the save derpy movement a little? Collect the best of Bald-Dumbo-Rat's voice work, the more heart-warming comic (etc) depictions of Derpy, the ones that emphasise the different but not completely dumb side of derpy, and get the relevant people at the studio exposed to it. They don't, after all, spend that much time following the fandom's creations for various reasons (as can be seen by the writer still thinking in terms of Ditzy Do perhaps?)

Hell, a campaign to make BDR the official voice artist of this particular background pony wouldn't be a terrible idea, I think. Pipe dreams of course, but nice ones.

I'm sure Balddumborat could bring in her recordings as examples of her voice work if she got an audition normally. I'd be more worried about the fan precedent. If enough outcry got them to give her the audition and she got the job, suddenly everybody would be clamoring to try and get stuff into the show. Soon it would be redeemed Trixie, griffon vs. pony mock war games, Twilight engaged in large scale magical duels...actually you know what? we should do this.

Aye, it's a slippery slope to get on, and a tricky thing to set precedence for. Including some fan ideas means you have to reject others, and it's only a matter of time before they make the "wrong" choice in the fandom's eyes. Not to mention people get sore when their fanon gets crushed. Honestly, I'd rather they stick to clever, subtle shout-outs.

Numbering legs clockwise starting from the raised one, first and second look okay, third needs to be extended and moved further back, fourth can remain in place but needs a little twist forward at the base joint, so that it implies pushing back against the ground (i.e. keeping the tip where it is, but moving the rest of the leg a little forward, or vice versa). This is assuming a motion pattern with three legs constantly on the ground for stability.

If what I remember from my days of doing quadruped anims for my Total Annihilation mods is correct, with those alterations it should look good.

Is it bad that not only was I able to immediately pick out where she was in these scenes from memory from the episodes I've seen only once, but I was also annoyed by the fact that I would not get credit for the multiple background Lyras that I found in the one level?
