Wanda Firebaugh
...How long did it take you to realize this was a pun?
I am rather embarrassed to admit that I only just now got it while on my way to the bathroom a few minutes ago. And I've been reading since before the first Parson's Klog...
On a scale from one to ten, how obvious was it to you?

Re: Wanda Firebaugh
Say it out loud a few times. If that doesn't help:
SpoilerWand of FireballThe only thing worse than an empty signature is one that has nothing at all to say. One that simply yammers on with little or no point; quietly, subtly draining away seconds of your life.
The worst are the ones that look like they have a point. Multiple paragraph monstrosities that you're sure will have some sort of satisfying conclusion. Some sort of goal, to show that your reading was not in vain.
It doesn't and it was.

Re: Wanda Firebaugh
It's a stretch.
I see "Fire Bough" every time I see her last name though. So the association with boughs and wands is pretty obvious. Fire is associated with magicians.
Basically, it's a vaguely mystical sounding name. I hesitate to read into her name's significance any further than that.

Re: Wanda Firebaugh
I think her name is supposed to be a pun on "wand of fireball" pronounced with somme kind of american accent.

This is how the second part is pronounced. Accents don't really enter into it.The only thing worse than an empty signature is one that has nothing at all to say. One that simply yammers on with little or no point; quietly, subtly draining away seconds of your life.

Re: Wanda Firebaugh
Wow, I totally didn't catch Stanley's, Wanda's or Jillian's pun. Although, I always pronounced Jillian's last name as Za-moo-sells

Re: Wanda Firebaugh
I caught on to them all except Jillian and Wanda's.
- Pronounced Zamussels "Zah-MOOS-ells." The closest I could get was "lots of moose."
- The lack of 'Ls' at the end of Firebaugh meant that it didn't sound at all like fireball to me.
Heehee, clever!

Re: Wanda Firebaugh
Huh. I always pronounced "Bough" like "Bow," as in the piece of archery equipment. The two words have a similar origin.

Aaaaand now we have Duke Adam Antium, although that one was pretty obvious. He'd better be pretty hard to kill.
