Re: Dragon Eggs in Lederhosen and Burning Drakes with Random Banter #190
I broke 150 pounds! This has been something I've wanted for the last couple years!
I still feel scrawny, but I know there's some weight to me now!
Yes, I'm celebrating gaining weight.

I use braces (also known as "curly brackets") to indicate sarcasm. If there are none present, I probably believe what I am saying; should it turn out to be inaccurate trivia, please tell me rather than trying to play along with an apparent joke I don't know I'm making.

...I use cheddar for my grilled cheese. My frame of reference for good is that it tastes as good as normal grilled cheese.

Re: Dragon Eggs in Lederhosen and Burning Drakes with Random Banter #190
I still feel like you wouldn't be able to get the proper texture and taste with a microwave, but to each his own, I suppose.
If memory serves, he's working on getting into the Marines, so I'm pretty sure absol's talking about muscle.
I think American cheese would be traditional. It's about the only place the stuff is any good, though.
I think the answer to that question is fairly obvious...Avatar by FinnLassie

Re: Dragon Eggs in Lederhosen and Burning Drakes with Random Banter #190
Mutant, I could throw you.
Seriously, that's scrawny. You're not a wrestler, by chance?
But, you wouldn't get that wonderful golden-brown colour/flavor or the crispy outside... And where does the butter come in, here?
I may have to try this at some time, to see exactly how big of a difference there is.Last edited by Amidus Drexel; 2013-03-23 at 02:17 PM.

Re: Dragon Eggs in Lederhosen and Burning Drakes with Random Banter #190
...all you skinny people. Tsk, tsk.
If I weighed 100lbs, I'd be just skin and bones...
What, by pushing the lever down and waiting for the toast to come out? You can't get golden-brown using a toaster... you can get brown, but if you don't cook it with butter, it won't be golden-brown. The taste would be significantly different, I think, because you won't have fried the butter.
Well, of course! Forgive me; I try not to assume everyone understands the culinary importance of butter.
I wouldn't know. You could very well be a bear with odd tastes in sandwiches.Avatar by FinnLassie

Re: Dragon Eggs in Lederhosen and Burning Drakes with Random Banter #190
I meant microwave that second line, you multi coloured psychosis exhibiting horseman (If I recall your avatar is usually a horse).
Naw, I mean the former. The latter is really good too though! We used to have one, forget where it went.
Although I such clarify, MY toaster doesn't look like that brave little appliance. It looks much more high tech. Has all these knobs and stuff on it, to ensure for perfect toasting.Last edited by LaZodiac; 2013-03-23 at 03:34 PM.

Re: Dragon Eggs in Lederhosen and Burning Drakes with Random Banter #190
That's no toaster, that's a sandwich press! Speaking of which, I need to dust mine off and start making pizza paninis again.
There's conveyor toasters though, but it's senselessly messy to put butter on the bread before toasting it with most of the models I'm familiar with.
Anyway, while we're on the subject of toast, the best toast is skillet toast with a mixture of butter and olive oil and creole seasoning.
I'd be a dessicated corpse that had died of starvation.
