Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
I'm back from summer fun right now. IT'S SUMMER!!!! SUMMER = FUN!
Wow! A new thread and 3 new comics. I love this summer schedule!
*pictures*
...ouch! That hurts!
#40: Insult To Remus
Ok, i just can't stop laughing from that. That is just awesome, Coffee! And the last panel is just even better!
Matt: "Natural!" "Eighteen!" "Dexterity!"
And Coffee, quick question: in the fourth panel, is Tinder pointing to his wings?
#41: That She Lasted So Long Is A Miracle In Itself
Wow. And I was thinking that Radic yelling about Orcs in the third panel was gonna have a much bigger (and longer lasting) impact on Janine.
Then she realizes that elves are very...*cough* dexterous.
And Coffee, the last panel of Janine "stealing" Matt(hew)'s now-trademarked grin is just perfect!
#42: She Didn't Mean The Liches Or Necromancers
ooooooooooooh. Roark and Hector are following Llyod and the party, for the sake of reoccurring gags.
#43: Meanwhile, Thousands Of Miles Away
ooooooooooooooooooh. Begin the plot thickening of the Paladins of Kago!
dun dun dun DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!Last edited by Aaron; 2010-06-11 at 07:08 AM.

Being a dragon has it's advantages

Perhaps dragon do that bee thing where their... reproductive organs... explode upon climax?
Hmm... the plot thickens? Or at least begins to thicken.Avatar by CoffeeIncluded

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
Yes. Tinder is indicating that he is a dragon.
I will say that I had the dual meaning planned from the very beginning. This was intentional. And sorry for the misspelling.
As for the new comic...filthy speciesist hypocritical homicidal morons is the vibe i get from those guys.
He is genuinely worried about the situation, and about the ailing Lord Byron and the late Mage General Elizabeth. He is no treacherous vizier, far from it.
Speaking of which, right now it's the equivalent of late February in Murphy's Law.Last edited by CoffeeIncluded; 2010-06-11 at 02:24 PM.

Re: Murphy's law (Thread the third!)
On comic 43:
The plot thickens! Excellent!
On comic 42:
Excellent, species integration! (I'm a fan, obviously.)
Not entirely sure that litches and necromancers can't be good; after all, "Having a pulse isn't a prerequisite to being loved!" Of course, Tsukiko is a horrible judge of character in terms of Xykon, but on the other hand...just look at the booted wight!
Janine: BOW AT THE FEET OF THE MASTER! Or do more than that...
Oh, and Herpestidae: The crossover with Combo-Platter was genius!

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
Well...might be a nice guy. The talk about abandoned villages at the beginning, together with the tide of humanoid refugees that Serrin mentioned, makes it sound like he's chasing orc and goblin tribes off their land to try to deal with the impending famine among his people.
Of course, even if that's exactly what he's doing, I'll reserve judgment until we hear his side of the story; he might have a better reason for his actions than "they have land and we need it".

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
*a head rises from the pond*
True, my opinion of him is quite Neutral at the moment, but we shall see... And for some reason I have a bad feeling about this new Mage General that will get appointed.
*rolls a scroll to the shore*
I finished drawing by the way, now my series is complete! (Though this is a little like a 5+1 series, since this one looks a little different.)
So, Serrin:

Celesta Halla, a fearless barbarian.
Jheren Falconer, a drifter ranger.
Rhenner Calami, a snarky medic with an untrustworthy memory.

Oooo, nice picture. Fir looks quite comfortable in his top-of-the-head pose, and I like the expression on Serrin's face.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
Thank you; Fun fact: I actually forgot to draw Fir at first and had to add her after I had already coloured Serrin, hope it doesn't show too much...
I do not know, just a spontaneus hunch, I could be wrong, of course.
And I love the drawing! You need to work a bit on the right side of both their faces though. Don't be too disheartened; that's the hardest bit.
And you have right, Serrin's other eye is a little too low and too much to the right..Alamryn Kven, a druid who tries very hard not to be useless.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
I hope Janine won't be too disappointed. Elves may get +2 Dex but they also get -2 Con so they won't last very long. It's a good thing she took several...

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
I have a question: Should I post a music clip that would help set the mood with a comic more often? It won't happen every comic, only when I feel it would really help or if a piece makes me think, "Dear god YES, that is a PERFECT fit!"
I am going to say that the vast majority of these pieces will likely be from Pokemon and Zelda, since those are my two favorite game series and I listen to the music on youtube when doing these comics, since ITunes has an tendency to freeze up. And their music is awesome.Last edited by CoffeeIncluded; 2010-06-12 at 09:23 PM.

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
I know nothing about Zelda, Coffee, and the only thing I know about Pokemon is that some of them scare me while other people insist they are adorable.
But I enjoyed the music clip you linked last time, and I would be glad to see you do that again any time you think it fits the comic.Last edited by mucat; 2010-06-12 at 08:54 PM.

It's been a bit, GitP. If you're reading this, you're either digging through old stuff, or I've posted for the first time in forever.
If you want to stay in touch, reach out to me on twitter (same username).
The best answer is always to ask your DM.
Unless you're the DM, in which case you should talk to your players.

Speaking of which, Runite isn't really going to show up in Murphy's Law, but this is what its theme would likely be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0yo32iVGA0My webcomic!

Re: Murphy's Law (Thread The Third!)
One of my favorite songs
Kinda makes me wonder what the characters would think if they were made to listen to that, complete with lyrics translation.
Or for that matter, what the chances of a situation where that would be fitting ever occuring are.
...*Grabs Lloyd and forces him to listen*
