Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
Dayshift 1, 16:46
SpoilerWell diary, it's finally happened. I've been locked out of my workplace. Though I'm not as alone as I would've liked.
5801 sent us to go pick up weapon supplies. Why in blazes would we possibly need weapons after the success of the raid? I told him it was ridiculous, and he told me we had no reason to distrust Vader. I still can't believe that. The man is decked out in black, breathes ominously, and has even tried to strangle some of us on different occasions. Might as well be twirling a curly cue mustache and cackling at us.
He sent me along with 7905, a rookie. They sent a good load of rookies here a few weeks back, though perhaps I'd mentioned that before. Couldn't shoot straight to save their lives. Anyways, the kid had a strong arm, so I gave no complaints. He could probably do the job all by himself, and I told him so. Let it be known that I would never miss an opportunity to aid a rookie in his quest for a good reputation.
We made our way down to the supply room without much trouble. Rookie kept babbling about his enthusiasm for... something. I wasn't paying attention. Anywho, as soon as we got the supplies out the door, the power goes out. Bloody technicians have no clue what they're doing. Perfect. The rookie suggested we head back, and I tell him we're not gonna get in with the power off. He started going off toward there anyways, so as his personal babysitter, I reluctantly walked with him.
As we made our way back, the rookie keeps mentioning his fear of the dark, and other inane things I also ignored. When we reached the gate, surprise surprise, it didn't open. I swear to god, the idiots I deal with...
So now we're just sitting here, waiting for the gates to open. I for one have taken to searching through the supplies for something suitable of bashing the rookie over the head.
Nightshift 1, 21:35
SpoilerBizarrely, all I could find in the stash were Barrier Spheres, Sniper Rifles, and Adrenaline Syringes. I've seen battles won by rifles alone, but regardless, this is a bit absurd.
I made friends with a rat crawling at my feet. Procedure states we shoot them on sight, but I was too tired to do any killing. I named it Jacq. I'm thinking over whether or not it would be worth it to sic him on the rookie.
Speaking of the rookie, he's been too busy snoring in the corner to apologize.
I need sleep.
Nightshift 1, 21:46
SpoilerWorth it.
Dayshift 2, 14:26
SpoilerLight's have turned back on, but the bloody door still won't open. I tried pounding on it, but I never get any response. They're probably laughing it up in there. "Oh thank heavens that 4909 is gone. To think, we almost had someone with personality in this place! The horror! Oh Daniel, I'm absolutely going to faint. Hold me with those soft, gentle hands and tell me it's all going to be alright."
Right. So anyways, the rookie has taken up attempting to glare at me through his helmet and refusing to talk to me. I still think it was worth it.
Nightshift 3, 22:28
SpoilerI started getting bored just sitting here, playing with Jacq, so I asked the rookie if he had anything to talk about. He just tried glaring again. I eventually managed to convince him that scaring another trooper senseless while he's sleeping is just the way we initiate members into some secret club. He believed me almost instantly. I'm slightly disappointed by this.
He asked me if he also had to tell a scary story and if I'd feel more comfortable initiating him in a heavily wooded area. I nixed him on the second, but I figured I might get some laughs out of that first option. He told me some story about some bratty kid and some nice kid. The bratty kid was almost killed by something supernatural, and the nice kid had to save him. He even did all the voices. After he'd finished, he asked if he got thumbs up, or thumbs down. I humored him, and gave him a thumbs up. The boy might as well have leaped through the ceiling, he was so ecstatic.
I'm off to bed now, and the rookie says he's too happy to sleep. Whatever.
Dayshift 3, 12:56
SpoilerI'm beginning to regret talking to the rookie. Now he won't shut up. I've honestly never seen someone blather on so much in all my years in the Imperial Navy.
I've noticed that whenever he starts talking again, my eyes drift towards one of the sniper rifles. Some day, subconscious, but not today.
During his breaks between verbal torment, I can catch bits of things on the other side of the door. Apparently something awful's happened, but I'll only know for sure once they open the damn thing.
Nightshift 3, 23:45
SpoilerI just saw a strange figure run past the hallway. I'm off to follow it, maybe it'll have some answers. Anything's better than dying here with this idiot.
Dayshift 4, 0:27
SpoilerSorry I have to use your diary, Nine, but I needed to leave a note somehow. Me and Jacq agreed to hide in the janitor's closet until you stop screaming over there. It's freaking us out.
Maybe I'll tell Jacq one of my stories. He likes them. >:(
Summary
SpoilerNumber Nine (biltodamax) was nightkilled. He was a Stormtrooper.

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
After getting her laser pistol repaired, Cerise begins her search for Mr. Buttons once again.
But as she's walking past an interrogation room, she sees an awful sight as the door closes. A small Rabbit, who looks to be desperately searching for something.
She stops and almost goes in, but decides there is way too much craziness in this world.
The RabbitHoleLost will ahve to be found on its own.

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
"The boy dwelt amongst the rats
For in great fear he lay
His greatest ally had been stolen
By the man of grey
He lay there for a length of time
Choking back the tears
'til he rose and grabbed his gun
As to face his fears
The hallway left in shambles
And though he could not stay
The boy remembered friendship broken
By the man in grey
He hurried to the corridor
And once their he could hardly stand
For standing right in front of him
Was the grey man
Shot once in the chest
And though his shot was poor
The boy shot from where he was
On the blood-soaked floor.
How was it?"
"Not bad, not bad," said Luke.
"You sure?" asked Five.
"Yeah, pretty good.
Hey, are you gonna be okay? You want some bandages or something?"
"Oh no, I'm fine. Just leave me a little water, and I can handle myself."
Summary:
SpoilerFive (Cyborg Mage) was lynched. He was the Heavy.
Sorry Mage, I was a bit too late to do anything cool.
Nightshift Start.

Mah Troopers. They're dying.
This makes a fangirl very upset.

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
Five scraps means five days of not pointing. Has it been that many? Even if it has, you've pointed, haven't you?
And the Heavy's item, if the current trend holds, is only given out after today.

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
Really? I was under the impression, which has only been reinforced by the lack of any extra items thus far, that killer and baner items were only given to the killers and baners in the beginning. You know, since otherwise it'd be unbelievably overpowered. Narrator, care to clarify?

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
You do not. I have it. You are a bad Storm Trooper.
I think Rabbit is actually a Rebel, pretending to be an Imperial. She even tried to protect Obi-Wan Kenobi. You don't think that's suspicious?
This is what I get for being happy I survived a night attack. *grumble grumble*
