The Town of Bridle Shores

Far to the west of Canterlot, further still even from Ponyville, a quiet little town is quickly springing up near a large lake.

This is Bridle Shores, situated along a large lake with a natural beach. Not far from town is Mt. Trotia, with a waterfall that feeds into the lake. The town is surrounded by a lush forest which the ponies of the town both use and nurture with delicate balance, there are some ponies that call the forest home as well.

A small business district has started to grow, with a Bakery, Dress shop, Grill, Greenhouse, Dojo, Saw mill, Snow Cone Stand, Dance Academy, and even a Soda Bar popping up for the citizens of the town. They are also experimenting with new technology such as Floppy Disk’s computer shack or the Doctor's friendship harnessing lab. In addition, there's a Farm and a Wizard's Tower on the outskirts of the town.

Much of the forest is quiet and peaceful, but deeper within the forest lurks creatures far more dangerous…

Locations Covered in this Thread

Character homes: Obvious
Civic Center: Run by Sweet Dreams, volunteers welcome. The Civic Center is a very large building located on a large amount of enchanted cloud, with a large enchanted cloud staircase leading up to it.
Nightclub: Run by Purple Pepper. No posts in it so far.
Knack's Farm: Run by Knack, with some hired hooves. It's a very large farm, somewhat far out of town, and Knack grows about every imaginable fruit or vegetable there.
Streets: Obvious
Fox Trot's Dance Studio: A dance place run by Foxtrot where he trains foals and rents it out every once in a while. Especially if the price is right, or you threaten to feed him to a massacre wurm.

They looked at each other, a somewhat worried expression shared between them. Then they both stared at the shovel.

And stared. And then brought the shovel very close to their faces.

"Hey, why don't we do a little magic on your shovel?"
"It'll be much easier to work with!"

Magic? Sandy's ears perked up. Now they were speaking his language!

...or at least, what used to be his language. Before the wings and all.

"I didn't know ya'll were enchanters. Or, well, you were, at least." He nodded to Top Hat's horn. "What sorta enchantments did y'have in mind?"

"Mmm...sure hun," She smiled and gave him a nod. She then got to work prettying up his feathers though of course she took advantage of his sensitive wings for some prime teasing every so often. "Mmm, like this babe?'" She asked smoothing some out whilst going for maximum ticklish sensation.

Of course, soon enough, Silverpine was soon squirming and fidgeting from all the teasing Gear was administering, blushing furiously. Poor stallion had to clamp down on his lips a couple of time to muffle his own delightful moans. "Y-y-yes, like that," he sighed, as another shudder ran through him. "Ooooh boy, no wonder the pegasi think this is a recreational activity."

Gear barely stifled a chuckle and nibbled down on her bottom pony lip to keep herself in check. "I almost have wing-envy for that reason." She winked. After six minutes of grooming her sweetheart, she finished and stood back to admire her work and to see the state she left Silverpine in.

And what a state Silverpine was in. The stallion was practically a puddle on the bench he was sitting on now, his tongue lolling out slightly. A blissful sigh was the only sound that escaped his lips as he lay there, his wings all preened up and ready to go.

Perfect for Gear if she wished to capitalise on their alone time.

"Mmm..babe," She began as she found the puddle's pony lips and gave them a smooch. "I'll be right back..give me a mo'...gonna brush my mane real quick-like." She smirked and threw the towel from her head at the puddle giving him the sight of slightly wavy damp haired Gear as she trotted off to find herself a brush! Quest time!

"Or we could make it so it becomes sticky when you want it to, so no sand can escape, even if you turn it upside-down!"

"Quick...you can't...can't be here...I've..moved on...No...don't get up..stay there." Fox lifted his hoof to gesture to the mare to remain seated in the bean bag chair.

After the initial surprise kiss, things were cleared up with the officer and he was dismissed, no charges being pressed, their crowd disbanded. Fox and Quick sat in his office, Fox at his desk, Quick on the bean bag chair.

"Fox..." The mare uttered. "You don't...mean that..You know I met her...the other day."

"W..what?" He asked caught off guard as he glanced down at the combo locked bottom drawer of his desk. He then looked back at Quick Step.

"I...yes...not the best of meetings...but...I told her...I was not going to give you up...not again...that was my fool's mistake." She said looking him in the eyes.

"You broke my heart."

"...And I'm sorry about that...I was a different mare then...but Fox...Come on...I know...you still believe in us...Why else else would you keep photographs of us together in your little locked drawer?"

"Wh-what what? How did you?" He paled as he glanced down at the bottom locked drawer.

"I know you Fox...I figured out you had the number sequence set for the day, month, and year we broke up. Sentimental Fox, it could have been any random sequence of numbers but you had it made for those numbers." She said as she sat up straight.

"Fox...we were so happy in those photos...we could...be that way again."

She scrunched her muzzle and hmphs, walking past Gear and an incredibly embarrassed Silverpine who seemed to be facehoofing permanently now.

Gearstride had a permacheshire grin on her face as Icy walked past. "I'mma guess ya ain't gonna wanna talk about the little incident at your coltfriend's dance studio then, and here I thought we could have a nice little conversation." Not really.

The temperature of the room seemed to drop almost precipitably as the ice mage took in every word Gearstride has to say. Silverpine shivered as he looked at Icy, then at Gear. This was definitely something that was going to end badly for somepony; it had lover's spat written all over it.

"I see," Icy said simply when Gearstride finished her tale. "Excuse me, I have... ponies to talk to." With that she abrupt made an about-turn and left the room.

"... Fox is so going to get it, huh?" Silverpine commented once the ice mage was out of earshot.

"Wow.....well ahem...Bridle Shores just got a whole lot more interestin'..." Gearstride crookedly smirked, both brows raised. "...I did do right in letting her know right?" She chuckled a little.

A dark cloud seemed to hang over Icy as she made her way towards Fox's studio. The pair, if they were still hanging around, might soon hear a steady knock on the door.

Silk Scarf seemed to be thinking about it anew. Her brow furrowed. She looked over at Top Hat.

This seemed to give the big stallion pause. He opened his eyes and scrunched up his face, before going into a prouder manic grin.

"Why, that's simple, Silk Scarf! Haven't you ever heard of common-law marriage? Besides, who's the law to say what the rules are? We're a couple of counter-culture rebels!"

This seemed to satisfy Silk Scarf, who beamed.
"That's incredible!"

"That answer your question, Sandy? It's share and share alike!"

"We're a little past coming off nosy my dear," She teased. She then brought her hoof to her chin, a playful smirk on her face. "Or you know...if you want sweetcheeks, we can continue what we were going to do...though perhaps a room change?....Or we can go totally be busybodies, your choice love." She grinned.

"I suppose it's none of our business. Also, you do realise I have an entire room to myself here, right?" Silverpine said with a playful grin and slight blush. He wrapped a wing around his love. "C'mon, let's take her advice and head there."

Icy would be met with a steely gaze and then a door shut on her face. Icy would then hear Fox exclaim Quick's name. The door would then be opened again as Fox looked over at Icy, Quick Step off to the side. His face fretful, his nervousness in full bloom.

"I...Icy.."

Her expression softened slightly when Fox appeared. "Fox... you were going to show her the door, right?" she asked, a slightly hopeful note in her voice.
