One day I'll find nakama who would save me... But obviously I won't find them in Random Banter.

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
Hey Player_Zero, I will join your pirate crew, I even have a boat and guns. The only problem I can see is that I am on the other side of the Atlantic. You wont even have to worry about not knowing how to sail, my boat doesn't have any sails on account of being a canoe.

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
Pirates eh? It's widely believed that PirateCurly was one of the sexiest piratesitp during the last Talk Like A Pirate Day.
But why no love for ninja or pirate-ninja?
And is it one ninja, two ninjas or one ninja, two ninja.
Also; during the other Lit class I had today we wrote our own Romantic poems and I ripped off two lines and based two verses on a manga and another two verses from the premise of Wintersmith and referenced Ozymandias in the same said poem.
I was told it was very original and well written. And out of six verses only two of them are my 'own'. Well, one and a half really.

Ninja isn't an English word, so you can pluralise however you want...
Also, wasn't it once said that originality is not showing our sources?
Ninjas are not liked because pirates are cooler. One Piece is better than Naruto, for instance.Last edited by Player_Zero; 2008-06-25 at 12:57 PM.

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
I know they're both manga/anime which have gone on horrendously long. Naruto is idiotic because it's about a . . . ninja who wears blue and orange and apparently turns into a naked woman for no reason.
One piece is about pirates after a MacGuffin. One has a straw hat.
That is all.
And I do prefer pirates as well. But someone has to be the devil's advocate.

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
In my honest opinion, pretty much anything is better than Naruto. Freakin' orange jumpsuit.
I think a lot of shonen (boys) Animé and Manga have the same problem, which can be described with the following phrase: "Blatantly ripping off Dragon Ball Z".

*Narrows eyes.*
I don't recall any pirates in DBZ.
You might as well say that absolutely all fantasy is ripped off of Tolkien.

Maybe you didn't look closely enough! I'm sure there must have been one, technically isn't Frieza or someone a Space Pirate. It's been ages since I seen DBZ but I'm probably going to buy Burst Limit.

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
The real reason pirates are better than ninjas, is because pirates leave treasure lying around, ninjas don't.

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
I also preferred Outlaw Star, although it wasn't aimed at boys. Is Escaflowne a Shonen?
Outlaw Star rules, it had (a) Pirate(s), no Ninja's though although there was a Samurai.

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
Huh? I wouldn't say Tsubasa Chronicles's shonen. But I can see why it's classed as one. Stupid opposite perceptions.
I went down shop again just now. As a treat I was allowed to buy a lolly. So I bought a Feast. So I open it about ten minutes ago and it's backwards.
Normally you have a chocolate shell (with nuts), then ice cream, then a solid chocolate centre.
In this one the ice cream was on the outside (bleedin' shocked my when I opened the pack), then the chocolate/nut shell and then the chocolate centre.
At first I thought it had just cracked and leaked, but the ice ceam was too even and aftr I'd licked it all away I discovred there weren't any cracks in the shell. There was just solid chocolate.
Very wierd.

It's a conspiracy! A conspiracy I tells ya! I got a twix where one stick had no caramel and the other hardly any biscuit. Mighty odd.
Open days confuse me. Where did all these students come from? Do they hide in the eaves of houses ready to dive-bomb passersby or something. Just odd.

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
Psheh. Tell me about it. Our Classics lesson was cut short 'cause of some visiting secondary school. Cool, but annoying at the same time.
But college students seem few and far between. There were only ten out of twenty four people in Lit class; eight out of fourteen people in Med His and about half of Classics.
Because of Uni open days; trips out for classes and 'being ill' mainly. But there's a College party (which I'm clearly not attending) so the number of students 'ill' will go up quite substantially tomorrow.

Hee. There will be two people from my stats class in the lesson on Friday. The rest of us will be up to our knees in mud flailing madly at newts. I doubt I shall catch any
pigeonsnewts. Drat, drat and double drat!
Aww, why did Oxford have to have such a good physics course? Now I'm just going to be all disappointed when I fail...
Oh well.

Guess who just beat Turkey, thanks to a last-minute amazing goal by Lahn?
That'd be Germany!
And our pirate crew is still recruiting. We've got me, Rogue (captain), Phase, Oregano, wadledo, I think that's all for now.Last edited by randman22222; 2008-06-25 at 03:50 PM.
