Rob and Jack is updated, for those of you who read.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
Have we even seen Salmon getting send to the future. If not he (non cyborg Salmon) could come and attack the shades in the last moment and that sends them to an alternative world each. This would mess up Salmons memory so he think he was send by Threeshades.
By the way the ningas live in another world but come from Avbaroy. They just live in a Demi-plane filled with a good and friendly darkness.Treasured Quotes

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
Ah. But since it had little to no canon relevance, I must have forgotten about it.
___________
What was the date (After Cataclysm) when Salmon arrived in the future ? In the comic it says 5340 AD, but since we do not use AD and it's in a very long time (Ins should be dead by then), I think it's not 5340 AC.Last edited by Mad Mask; 2009-01-04 at 09:55 AM.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
And what if...
...we all got it wrong? I mean, future Salmon saw Igon like old man being responsible for living hell in the future, right? Then, back in present times, he was convinced into believing that wasn't Lying, but Ins, guy being known of having really bad intentions and generally being an *******. But what if it wasn't like that? What if the actions of Igon Minoblendy - especially founding ALF and active fighting with sovice regime - led directly or indirectly to future havoc and deaths of millions? That (and our chars being unaware of that) would make Future Imperfect not only extremely sad and epic but also very tragic (in the classic definition of tragic, Oedipus style, that is).
Plus, about the Shades and UNA and who-is-more-ass-kicking-thing. How exactly did Salmon discover the face of man being responsible for the pain of future people? Because you know, if he was told it from gossips or even read that in ancient newspapers, I mean everything other than sth givig 100% certainty, like uber magic or asskicking technology, then that could be just another effect of sovice propaganda. "Oh noes, we are having are butts kicked by Shades, what shall we do?! Well, lets hide the existence of them, put entire blame on these resistance guys, and get the hell out of this planet, leaving the UNA alone".
Or something.

Re: ABR Discussion Thread XVI: Matters of Futures Imperfect
Very interesting Kazul. I actually like that idea. It would be great if the Resistance realized that (maybe they encountered a space-time anomaly ?) and had to make massive problems. However, in Salmon's alternate timeline, he said that the "bearded man" had green eyes. It could be handwaved away by saying that Igon made clones out of Ins to survive, since his old body was getting too weak for him, with the poisoning and all.
The Shades were defeated in Salmon's alternate timeline. They simply did not have all that Plot Shielding™ and New Powers As The Plot Demands™.Last edited by Mad Mask; 2009-01-04 at 10:17 AM.
