Re: Fan Comic Creators - Please Read!
My comic seems to be already up there, so I guess I don't really need to provide a link, do I?
But just in case.....
This is my opinion:
It's been so long since I've given one of these out, maybe I should update the artstyle....
Anyway, your banner has me in it, thus making it awsome! I love it.Last edited by Green-Shirt Q; 2009-01-26 at 08:12 PM.

Re: Fan Comic Creators - Please Read!
Well, this seems like a decent enough place to ask. C2H5OH is restarting, me drawing, ask only being involved in scripting and checking. Anyhow, question is, do I contine the old thread, that being necromancy or start a new one, losing its history? Mainly a question to the mods, and Id assume its best to start a new one, but Ive been told by someone else simply to bump the old one, so I thorght Id ask.

Re: Fan Comic Creators - Please Read!
Hum, by "fancomics", do you mean OOTS-style webcomics?
Because there are some here that are not OOTS-style, and not related to the OOTSverse either. Would they belong to the same subforum, or to another one?
EDIT: if non oots-style count too, I'd like to link to Path to Greater Good, by NeoriceisgoodLast edited by Lissou; 2009-01-29 at 01:34 PM.

Re: Fan Comic Creators - Please Read!
OK, there are a lot of questions on this thread, I will hope to get to all of them:
1.) Yes, after consulting with all the mods, ABR and all Avatar Battle Royale-related material should go into the fan comic forum. If someone could provide the links to all relevant threads, we would appreciate it.
2.) The banner comics thread will stay here, as it has neither a single creator nor any continuity. It's essentially like an avatar thread, only with banners.
3.) As far as including non-stick figure art, we're going to define a fan comic as any comic that EITHER uses an art style/setting that is a clear homage to OOTS (or Erfworld) OR is posted by a fan on this website instead of anywhere else. Meaning that if you have a webcomic that isn't related to OOTS at all, but you only post it here? It's a fan comic. If you have another site with it? It's a regular webcomic, even if it started here. You can have a thread about it in the Webcomic board, but you can't post your updates here. All comics related to OOTS in style or content, however, always count as fan comics.
4.) This new forum will have different rules on Thread Necromancy. In short, yes, we would prefer you to raise your old thread and continue it rather than starting a new one.
Also, the list will be updated momentarily. The above words represent the consensus of the entire Giant in the Playground staff, including the moderators, the webmaster, and Rich Burlew.
(The PM box for this account is not regularly monitored; please direct any PMs to the forum staff to Roland St. Jude, the forum guru. Do send moderator applications to this account, though, as directed in the announcement thread. Thank you.)

Since I update it here on the boards, I suppose my webcomic Midget on a Horse fits the criteria.

Re: Fan Comic Creators - Please Read!
Personally, I'd argue that ABR almost belongs in an RPG forum.
If anyone bothered digging it up, DO NOT put Tales of Squark in there. All the image links are broken.Steam ID: The Great Squark
3ds Friend Code: 4571-1588-1000

Re: Fan Comic Creators - Please Read!
Um...
We are requesting that everyone who maintains a fan comic on this message board please respond to this post with a link to all threads related to your comic.
The comic is irrelevant, regardless, but don't forget that some fan comics have been posted in the webcomics board.Last edited by kpenguin; 2009-02-02 at 03:51 AM.

Re: Fan Comic Creators - Please Read!
If you're going to do this then I would suggest:
A Check if you're going to have enough time and energy for this.
B Lots, and lots of planning. Set up well-known(atleast well known itp) judges who you know will be reliable and won't drop out suddenly.
C Other random stuff.
Also, D, a trophy maker. People will go great lengths for shiny trophies.

Re: Fan Comic Creators - Please Read!
Seconded as a good idea, with incentives like trophies in place.
Makes me wish I still had a webcomic...hold on a minute, I do! But I doubt I'll be posting it on here in time for any awards that may take place.
