Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Ooh, forgot about R&C Future
As for cohorts, of course. You don't, in fact, need to follow any guidelines for DnD whatsoever; most of us use them to stay in touch with reality. It's not a contest, or a game, or anything; it's just ABR fun. If we did follow rules, level 5 characters wouldn't be able to one-shot epic level characters like Lying. The artist formerly known as Tired N' Drowzy, master of puns.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Look, MM, I know you dislike people in ABR being D&D based, but face it, almost all the people here have D&D based characters to some degree. It doesn't mean that D&D based characters are mandatory though, of course.
Anyways, welcome Assassin! I'm not good at explaining things here, so wait til either MM is done arguing (could be a while*)or one of the other people who are good at explaining things gets here, then you'll get a real explanation. In the meantime, just read the rules on the first post. Other than that, there aren't many restrictions here. A few things you should know about the other ABRians:
Don't get annoyed with Keveak if he seems to be using awful grammar, he just isn't a native speaker (he's from Denmark, in case you're wondering). Actually, he picks up the language pretty well.
DO NOT get in an argument over: D&D based things in ABR with Mad Mask, the acronyms F.A.I.L. "vs." A.L.F. with Nameless, whether my avvy in any way resembles anything from a fast food restaurant (or any food place), or whether Lying's beard can shoot fireballs.
Don't associate with Master Ranger.
Always bug Squark about godmodding.
Act like you liked Lying's comic strip so that he doesn't feel dejected.**
*Yep, I'm being passive aggressive.
**Ow! I'm joking, I'm joking!

I have to say that I never saw that monocle anything else than plain weird. Sexy? Far from it (and yes, this comes from a guy who is universally seen as having no face )
Am I alone thinking that threeshades is hot, by the way? Or that we really, really need that tv tropes page?

How very shrewd. But worms are not smart enough to comprehend beauty. And beauty is the eye of the beholder, like that episode of... The Twilight Zone.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
People keep messing up the shades patterns:
White: Leaders
Red: Mages
Purple: Melee
And this is why ABR is so awesomeLast edited by Threeshades; 2009-04-01 at 05:55 PM.
