Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Have there been circumstances beyond your control and you must leave our lovely playground? Have you become disenchanted with these boards?
Please say goodbye to everyone from this one central place, that way we can all mourn your leaving from the comfort of a single locale.
This works the same way as the welcome and hello thread, just let us know why, and we'll say goodbye!

Good bye old thread... Many-a-goodbye I left in you.
But anyways, I won't be here for a week, although my webcommc should still probably update. If anyone reads it. .Last edited by Mr. Mud; 2009-07-30 at 09:02 PM.

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Wow, thread was closed as I was posting...hooray for copy and paste:
I summited mt. Philips and left over the tooth of time (amazing view). Crooked creek sounds familiar, can't remember why though...and I didn't actually lose food to any mini-bears, but some chewed through some zipper pulls on my pack and I hit one with a stick (stop the mini-bear revolution before it's to late!) .
Anyway, sorry to see you leave, Skippy. I didn't really know you that well, but I'm a KH fan and I always thought your avatars were really cool...Kopaka in a former life.

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Yeah, the tooth is fantastic. On the last day my crew got up at 3 AM to watch the sunrise from it. IT was one of the most beautiful things that I've ever seen. As for the mini-bears, one guy in my crew got dehydrated so he had to sit around camp the whole time while we went and did fun stuff. He got bored, and set up a minibear trap by propping up a pot on a stick with a string attached to it. He placed some food under the pot, and actually caught one.

Camp Crooked Creek: Probably the association with Dan Beard. It's somewhere in Ohio, if I recall correctly.

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Well, this is something I didn't thought I would be typing, but I am.
Come Friday, I will gone for a whole year.
So, saying earlier, goodbye until a year from August 7.
Guess what playground, my leaving is only for most of the week. On Saturdays, for a few hours I can be here. Yeah for slight changes in plans.Last edited by ThePhantom; 2009-08-07 at 12:03 AM.

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
I never thought I'd say this, but... I'll miss you, D_Lord! Despite your being an eldritch abomination of the worst kind and attempting multiple times to subjugate the Playground, demanding my time and energy to try to put a stop to your madness... That was kind of fun, actually. Well, good luck wherever you are. Don't cause too much carnage now!
