SEU 5: A Mother's Arms - Opening post 108

End of Day Three

Sunny was a strange, quiet child, who preferred tools to toys, and enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together again. Normally Dominique and Mrs Wade had made sure she had plenty of legos to play with so she didn't start taking apart anything she shouldn't, but the legos were all melted and didn't work right anymore. So Sunny went looking for something else to do.

He found her alone, and crept closer, silently. Not that stealth was needed. She was completely engrossed in what she was doing. First he would silence her. Then he would feed.

She had just finished taking apart the electrical socket, using a butter knife as a screwdriver when his hands closed on her throat. She didn't scream - couldn't scream - but her hand jerked in surprise, driving the metal into the electrical circuit and sending the current through her, and then through her attacker.

By the time the agents arrived, they were both dead.

Kitty walks up to dead Sunny, meows, then nudges her lightly, jumping back with a small mew when he gets a static shock.

Nah, horrors didn't have a chance after day one.

End of Night Three

The sound of a chopper flying could be heard above the daycare, waking one of the children up. I'm thirsty.

Going to get a glass of water proved difficult however as the S.E.U. agents had restrained most of the sections of the daycare, so the child had to go to the bathroom.

With a flick of the switch the dim light inside the toilet were on, flickering a bit,the sudden light causing the child to blink.

Hello suddenly came a voice which made the child to jump.

Don't worry, I'm your friend! the voice continued which made the little one relax a bit.

Where are you?

Here silly, behind the drapery!

Taking a look behind it, the only thing to be seen was a plushie of a wolf. A grown up might have just seen that, but the child's imagination quickly made the connection and picked the plushie up.

Are you alive? The child asked, studying the cotton filled, fake fur draped toy.

No, not really

Why can you speak then?

Because I'm special.

Can you move?

No, I can't move.

What can you do then? The child smiled, this was funny.

Nothing. The plushie replied now in a suddenly more serious tone. I can't do anything, I'm alive, but I can't move or even speak, I'm just a meaningless thing stitched together for your peoples amusement, dragged, squeaked thrown, being mistreated every day until one day you rip me apart.

The child was shocked by this sudden serious turn and said nothing as the voice babbled on.

Do you know what I want? I want to scream, but I have no mouth. Every day I want to scream in terror, but I can't. If I could have, I would have killed myself long ago, but now when you here I can do so much better...

A cotton-like mass of entrails emerged from the plushie and went along the child's hands and veins, before there was time to scream, the thick white organic material already covered the child's mouth.

Now who can't scream?

Alexia looks over the wall of her Castle. She sees Jake and she starts to wave to him, but something seems wrong all of the sudden.

She decides to stay within the protective walls with Lila. I'm scared Lila. First that odd boy, and then Bobbie. And then, they found stuffing all over the bathroom. What's going on?

Lila nods, looking over at Jake herself. She didn't know what happened to Wolfie during the night, but she hadn't seen him since she fell asleep. She hope he was all right. She looks at him and sees him playing all alone.

I don't like it. she whines to no one in particular.

Could the other three SEU please contact me? It'll help me get all this sorted quickly so that we can figure out the other two fails. Especially learning what groups weren't disturbed when.

Just for everyones information, Cpt. Soup, evnafets and Hyozo protected Reinholdt last night.

If I might bring up a potential game-breaking suggestion.

How about we leave Sanity alive for now, tie him up in a corner, and watch him every night? That way whenever Sanity has a night action, he can't do anything...
Of course it risks their escaping if the surveillance action gets interfered with...

Which... would give us every other night to try to scry and sniff out the other horror. Since we know the horror's order of action, we can even determine when to do it and when to scry and when to bane. For instance, we know it's Sanity's turn tonight, because it was Wolf's last night. Don't need to bane, just to sic surveillance on him.

It'd be genius! We'd need the SEU commander for it though.

Jake stirs from his sleep, He smiles over at Alexia and Lila. Then he sees their cold stares, he takes a step back. all around people are looking at him as if he is a freak. He looks down, didn't they know not to corner a wizard. He brings his hands together. He stares intensely as a spark flutters in between his hands. Suddenly a ball of fire bursts to life in between his palms. It grows and grows, He looks up, his neck twisted at an awkward angle. He smiles darkly Don't you want to play? He then throws the ball of flame at the castle, FIREBALL! He says in an ominous voice.

Wait a sec... if FC scried as a villager (for the second time) that means he wasn't responsible for the fail protecting Reinholdt the other night. Which means one of Hyozo or Rakkoon would have to be the source of the fail?

((Okay, I've been murdering children all game, but I'm seriously creeped out at the image of a bunch of feral children tying up one of their classmates and taunting him... ))

Jake stirs from his sleep, He smiles over at Alexia and Lila. Then he sees their cold stares, he takes a step back. all around people are looking at him as if he is a freak. He looks down, didn't they know not to corner a wizard. He brings his hands together. He stares intensely as a spark flutters in between his hands. Lila watches in horror as the fireball appears in his hand. The next second she sees it heading straight for the castle. In alarm, she grabs Alexia's hand. Come on! she says, pulling her out of the castle.

Wait a sec... if FC scried as a villager (for the second time) that means he wasn't responsible for the fail protecting Reinholdt the other night. Which means one of Hyozo or Rakkoon would have to be the source of the fail?

Trust me. This has been bugging me, but it's a logical fallacy when you eliminate all the other possible fails. Which means a fail was grouped with the SEU commander, or a fail was grouped with Murska and Murska disturbed the actions both nights to look that way and it was dumb luck. I think it was the first one. Hence why finding out who he is is imperative. I don't know why Hyozo or Rakkoon would lie to me though.

Perhaps Murska lied to us all and the SEU guy didn't say anything?

Right now, I have Lex-kat and Fleeing Coward as the only possible fails without taking the SEU commander into account.

*taunts Jake, taunts Jake*

Here's exactly how the tying up the horror would work:

• Day 4: Lynch someone else.
  
• Night 4: Sanity's horror turn. SEU commander and two others, preferably any known fails survey Sanity, tying him nice and tight and preventing death. Everyone else scries.
  
• Day 5: Kill the horror! Or kill one of the people not scried suspected to be a horror.
  
• Night 5: Unknown horror's turn. Two banes on the SEU Commander. Two surveillances that work as quasi-scries. If the horror abducts to keep secret, then he's still the same person. Kills an SEU? Still the same person. The list gets that much shorter. Manages to merge? Know two people who aren't a horror for the start of next time.
  
• Rinse. Repeat. Jake remains tied and taunted.

The key would be knowing who the fails are and who the SEU are.

Right now... Lex-kat to test the fail theory and cause I like evnafets idea.
