Re: How did you choose your screen name?
Jesse Drake is a super hero I created. He's kind of the classic super hero, with the powers of enhanced strength, agility, and endurance, and eventually the ability to breath fire, and he's got a good heart, like a hero should. But that's not the world we live in, so to contrast him, his "side kick" (who severely resents it) is Demon Boy, grandson of the devil (who has a Long John Silver bond with him by the way) and rookie hero, who joined the "game" when he realized that he got attention that way. It's really a lot more than just that, but I don't want to take up too much space.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
Because I ended up being last on the page, I might as well post my story here.
Sooooo when I had to decide on my email address, I had just read a book, can't remember the name, and one of the characters in it was "Gwyn ap Nud". I shamelessly stole the name. (Can I mention right now that my finger hurts when I type? No idea why) Anyways, I then started to look up the history behind the name. It turned out that the name was that of the Welsh god of the underworld, who took over from his father, Nud, or Nudd. The name means "Gwyn son of Nud". I wanted something more... original.
So I did some babel-fishing, and some dictionary-ing, and I came up with my current name, "Gwyn chan 'r Gwyll", which means, roughly, Light of the Dark.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
my first one. Theburningfield I had because I used to listen to the dragonforce song "storming the burning fields." I either mispelled it or the limit wouldn't allow the S.
my new one is due to my Hinata avatar and because I'm a big fan of Naruto.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
Back three or four years ago, I joined the now-defunct Nintendo NSider Forums, and since Super Mario World was my favorite game at the time...
Fun fact: It's actually supposed to be CapedLuigisYoshi (with an "s"), but this forum apparently doesn't allow over fifteen characters initially.

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
Back in sixth grade, when I first got my glasses, I tried to start a cult around the blue flannel square that came with my glasses case. I don't remember the exact details, but I called it "Blue Ghost." The name was solidified when I picked Blue Ghost as my Runescape username because it was the first thing I thought of. Since then, Blue Ghost has always worked for me, though the persona has changed decidedly.
Blue Ghost, Lawful Good generalist wizard, at your service.

I chose mine based on my religion--Discordianism. It's Greek for 'To the prettiest one,' and was the inscription on the Apple of Discord in the myth of the Golden Apple and Prince Paris. Don't tick off Eris. She starts wars when she gets snubbed...

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
Many many years ago, in galaxy far far away (called Planescape) I created a thief/mage character that I loved to play. I played this character for probably close to 5 years in many, many campaigns while I bounced around in the Army. This character was Zeb. Later on, Zeb became sort of my nom du web. This carried over into my introduction to MMO's and Dark Ages of Camelot where I named all of my characters Zeb(class) and just went by Zeb in chats. Later, I wanted to make Zeb a more "official" nom du web, but, being as short as it is and actually being a real name, it was often already taken. Wanting to try to keep it, but not wanting to just add numbers to the end, I thought about how I could modify it and still keep it something that pertained to me, personally, and not just any schmoe off the street. I was still heavy into DAoC at the time and realized that almost all of my characters were trolls. Idea! Now most places I can get this name, either with or without spaces and it makes it easy for people to identify me when they bump into me elsewhere.
Like Gwen, enough people now know me as Zeb that I answer to it as easily as I do my given name. In fact, I identify so much with the name now that Alarra and I had, for a brief moment, considered naming our son this but decided that Zeb was my name and we'd have to find him his own.Want to meet some of the most awesome people on the internet? The Reaper was getting bad publicity, thus needed a new name to help change public opinion!

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
My name is a curseword from the Chronicles of Cheysuli series of books by Jennifer Roberson. The general use means something like 'B*stard' or some such.
Incidentally, it also kind of translates into the Japanese pronunciation of my Christian (hehe) name. If you squint a bit and tilt your head a bit to the left.
Apparently, there's a games world created online where KuReshtin is also the name of a country or a duchy or something.

My name came from mindlessly watching Jimmy Neutron with little kids. Then I figured, I'm going to name my screename after one of the characters.
Pathetic, I know, right? The most awesome avatar ever by the amazing Dashwood!

Re: How did you choose your screen name?
Well at the time i picked my screen name i was obsessed with lord of the rings so i named my name after elrond. But now elrond is a completely different person because he is not the wise elven cleric anymore. To me he is the charismatic elfing spellthief
