I've got a small question; I'm not quite sure what brought it up, but what's the single most Sue-filled, badly written, God-mode piece of literature that you've ever seen? As in the drek that only ranks better than, say, My Immortal because someone edited the bad spelling out.

Canon Sue fests?

The Anita Blake series of novels. Anita is essentially one of those joke D&D characters people make by throwing a billion templates on them just because they can only played seriously and with more sex. The comics are slightly better supposedly but not by they mess up in ways only bad comics can.

Jeff Leob's run of Hulk. Or Red Hulk shows up out of nowhere has nothing to do with the Hulk and beats up the Marvel Universe. This got to the point where Bruce Banner is no longer even in Hulk.

Michael Bay's Transformers series. The Sues aren't even robots but the humans which just wrong in everyway for something Transformers related.

Anything by Ayn Rand. Not even because of her politics which I won't take into account due to forum rules but the woman could not write fiction to save her life. Atlas Shrugged and Fountainhead have been called the proto-fan fiction for a reason.

Thats all the stuff I can think of that is bad because of Sue-ish characters off the top of my head. Other than Twilight and Eragon of course.

Sword of Truth. Basically, he admires Ayn Rand and tries to make himself like her. The tragedy is he's actually a pretty good writer, though not as good as he thinks, and it made his stuff far worse.
Anything by Sohmer. Ever.
Dominic Deegan deserves a special mention, as it is arguably on level with my Immortal.
The girl who lived is fanfiction, technically, but makes the rest of these seem good by comparison.It's even worse then Eragon and Twilight.
Yep, Darkblade got the rest.

The War of Souls Trilogy in Dragonlance.

Worst book by far in the series though was "Dragons of a Summer Flame"; they just didn't care about their characters anymore.

Souls had some good things; Soth and Tasslehoff's short mentions, specifically, if this is the series I'm thinking of(it's been a while.)

It introduces us to Mina. There is no argument. Though Soth's cameo was very nice.

In my book, Dark Disciple redeemed her...somewhat, both for being an interesting series, and because the ending was still better than some of what I've had to put up with in most of the 'Second Generation' books.

Still don't like the character. And I didn't like War of Souls/The Dark Disciple for several reasons in addition to Mina. Namely, the fact that we won't see Fizban anymore.

That is indeed something I mourn everyday. Truly he was one of the greatest characters in Dragonlance, and he deserves a thousand novels...or atleast one.

It will be titled "Dragons of the Grey Hat", and it will be epic. And there will be an actual meeting between Raistlin and Fizban. Two equals, meeting before they must fight.

My money would be on Fizban; never know what spell he's going to cast. I mean; you think he's going to cast 'Feather Fall?' Try 'Feather Storm.' It's like a Kender who's got 21 levels in wizard-capable of ending the world if he bothered to concentrate.

I meant more a discussion than an actual fight. But a fight between them would be epic.

Do you think being The Master of Past and Present will allow Raist to actually comprehend what Fizban speaks? Truly, if one could simply understand him, one could be a god unto men...or chickens, atleast.

I think that Raist would have a better understanding of what Fizban is saying. Though the forth-wall breaking would still be incomprehensible to him.

"Was there a twenty-one gun salute? I've always wanted a twenty-one gun salute?"

Indeed; it would be a rather interesting conversation to say the least.

Fizban would definitely bring up the fangirls. Raistlin would weep at the thought. Or possibly fly into a rage.

Before or after he starts mentioning the perceived uh 'subtext' of he and Dalamar's relationship.

I wonder if his brain will shutdown when Fizban mentions the incest. Do you think his brain would shut down at that point?

No. His brain shuts down once he learns that he could have succeeded but instead chose to fail in his task at the last minute.

Hmm....Wonder what will happen when someone mentions all this to the rest of the cast? I can see Raist becoming the laughingstock of the group, no matter how many of them he kills.

Getting things back on topic, if there is going to be another game, I figured out my characters.

1. Bat-shit Insane!
2. Extreme strength, toughness and stamina. Takes bullets and gets right back up, fights a master swordsman with a cut throat (and wins), and has vehicles crashed in to him, can punch through a locked door.
3. Artist with a sword. Beats plenty of master swordsman without a scratch, and uses his obscenely big blade as fast as they can use katana's.
4. More or less immortal. Very durable, very fast healer. Is able to continue to function despite massive trauma, mortal injuries and the like.

5. Can absorb the powers of other immortals he kills.
