"Well first the Empire should cease offensive actions against Camelot. In exchange we will provide your Empire an appropriate tribute and lend millitary, tactical and magical aid in your little Civil War against the Varden." Percy explains putting aside his meal.

"Anything beyond that should be negotiated between your Emporer and my King."

Leonidas

Leonidas allows his soldiers to rest in the remains of the citidal for the night. They have earned it.

He doesn't rest though. As the King he still has work to do. He goes out into the forest and searches for the Elves.

Percy
Murtagh's smile drops a notch. "That's probably not a good idea." He says. "Galbatorix isn't a very hands on type of leader, and about the closest he can get to friend is either a vassal or an enemy that isn't dead yet." The man says. "Your terms, however, seem very acceptable, consider them agreed upon. I take it you want us to give you support against the raiders?"

Leonidas
A high, tilting laugh sounds behind you as you make your way through the woods. You see the queen, clad in a soft dress that she's all but spilling out of. "You seem lonely, master soldier." She says, a playful smile on her face. "You have just helped us win a decisive battle, surely you should be celebrating."

Percy smiles "Between you and me, Arthur is half mad as well."

He gets to his feet. "I'll ride out with your next batch of troops."

"I came here looking for allies against the Empire." Leonidas explains.

"We fought with you in your battle. I hoped you would fight with us in our's."

Leonidas
She smiles, an oddly cat-like, capacious expression. As desirable as she is, you are forcibly reminded she isn't human. "That's much better." She says throatily, after pacing around you and sniffing your neck, in a way that puts you in mind of a predator.
Then she steps back. "Master warrior, we serve the same cause. Our fight ends when we sack Uru'Baen and destroy the Empire. When will you stop?"

Percy
Murtagh stands up at the same instant. "Good. I'll give you a command position of course."

"I am a Spartan. I shall stop fighting when I die." Leonidas explained.

"Very well. How many soldiers are you going to send out with me?" Percy beguins to walk towards the stable where Thunder lies in wait trusting Murtagh to follow.

Lord Soth
"It was a failure; The King was..stronger than I; stronger than the wizard. We'll have to recover and rehit him." Soth stares at the spear for a moment, "A dragonlance? Please don't tell me that is your secret weapon; unless you recently aquired-" Soth starts laughing; a deep throaty chuckle unlike anything he's had in years, "The golden general reborn! That's funny wizard, really, if I still had ribs, I think they'd be shattering. Didn't think you were that sentimental; although you might want to double check your plan, Nu here has far more in common with your sister than the elf maiden who fell in love with a half-breed. I'm guessing your current body isn't so innocent either. Still, it's a decent idea."

Percy
Murtagh does, walking with him. "The Emperor is confident he broke the Varden's leadership. Wehave four thousand men assembled to deal with the rest. He has no further interest, in his own words, so I will be commander. If you feel capable, I'll give you command of the knights."

Leonidas
She laughs again. "As will I. Well then, join us! It'll be nice to have humans who can... keep up, for a change."

Lord Soth
"Forgiven." She replies to the death knight, still captivated by the lance.
Nasuada, sensing the challenge in Soth's voice, tested the heft of the lance. She seemed satisfied. "This will do." She says with finality. "Now, come with me. We have to get back to the men quickly."

Lord Soth
"The wizard can teleport us back; that is one area where I am limited, M'Queen." Soth says, nodding and trying out the new title for her.

"I fear their original leadership is no longer the biggest threat. They have allied themselves with a powerful wizard and an undead warrior from another world." Percy says as he preps his horse for battle.

"I'll lead your knights into this battle."

"Most of my army is still a three day march away in Sparta While I feel that we could take the Empire with your aid without them I will not deny them their right to fight." Leonidas explains.

"I don't suppose your magic allows for some means of bringing them here faster."

[Cracklord]

She gives him an odd look. "If they fight as well as you." For a second, her skin touches yours, finger trailing along your shoulder, sending a tingle through you. "Then we might even need their help. I will see." She winks. "Wait here." At that, she all but vanishes into the forest.

Percy
Murtagh nodded. "The King met them. They ran, and that is the extent of his interest." He said. "Still, I expect we'll deal with problems as they arise. Are you ready?"

Lina Inverse

You don't seem to be in luck, the path appears deserted. Truly this seems a terrible world. Then ahead, you see what appears to be a palisade wall. Perhaps you're in luck.

The two speed up and head closer to investigate.

A few men in black leather point crossbows at you, but they don't seem so keen to fire. "Who are you, and what do you want?" One says in a dry, cracked voice.

Percy jumps up on Thunder's back. "I am ready."

Leonidas sits on a convienet stumb left by the Empire's logging efforts as he waits for elven queen to return. Her innuendos and touchiness bother him. He has his own Queen to whom he is loyal (at least when it comes to women but Greek sexuality is best left for another forum).

((Or Odysseus, who had relations with five women on the way back to his wife, then worried she would not be faithful. Don't get me started on Zeus.))

She returns at last. "Your men will awake here tomorrow." She says. She sounds tired and drained. "Get some sleep, you'll need all the rest you can get."

Murtagh nods, handing him a roll of vellum. "I will meet you tomorrow. Good hunting."

Lina waves her hands at the men. "Hey, hey, put those down, we're just a little lost. You guys wouldn't happen to be bandits, would you?"

[Cracklord]

The man lowers the crossbow but does not put it down. "Define bandits. We see ourselves as freedom fighters, or rebels."

((I was refering the homoeroticism you could cut with a knife from 300 but yeah the Greeks were messed up.))

"You have my thanks. Good Night Your Majesty." Leonidas bows slightly to the Elven woman as he returns to the keep to get some rest.

Percy rides out with the Imperial Knights and tries to find a good vantage point from which to view the Varden army.

The man lowers the crossbow but does not put it down. "Define bandits. We see ourselves as freedom fighters, or rebels."

"Oh, well... that's okay then. Nothing wrong with some freedom!" Though she is smiling she seems almost disappointed. "We're new to the area, and we haven't been able to find a map. Do you think you could give us some directions?"

The man nods. "Don't see why not. Where are you going?" There is a wary look about him, suggesting he doesn't quite trust you.

Percy
The army you have is the cream of Imperial troops, all seasoned professional soldiers, with plenty of organization and equipment. The Varden are not yet in sight.

Leonidas
She smiles, as if to offer him company, then instead, moves back into the forest.

((How many soldiers has Percy been given and what kinds of weapons do they have (swords, pikes, bows, etc)?))

"Are any of you archers?" he asks forcefully.

((He gets Knights. That is, the heavy cavalry. Around five hundred.))

Lina sighs. "Honestly, I have no idea. We got dumped here the other day by one of our less reliable accquaintances, and we haven't even managed to figure out the name of the kingdom yet." She points at Gourry. "Not that he could figure out the name of his own hometown."

"Hey, that's not true. It was, um..."

The man gives a long suffering sigh. "Well, do you want a big city, or a small one? Your best bet is Terim a ort city, the Empire's main trading post. It's back a few miles the way you've been traveling, I'm surprised you missed it."

A Million Years Later some stupid teenager in a superman costume punches the walls of Space/Time allowing Percy to not ask his stupid question from his last post.

Instead he leads his men a bit further down the battlefield.

Agreed. Then he dies of terminal retardation, in a fight with squirrel girl, and there is much rejoicing. I kind of have to pause it here to give the Varden a chance to catch up, sorry.

The men follow. They seem to be based on merit rather then wealth and family, there is almost no personal iconography or crests.

The man gives a long suffering sigh. "Well, do you want a big city, or a small one? Your best bet is Terim a ort city, the Empire's main trading post. It's back a few miles the way you've been traveling, I'm surprised you missed it."

"Ah, Teirm, you say? Ehehehe... We ran into some trouble back there with some guy with red hair and pointy teeth. I don't think it would be a good idea for us to go back there any time soon."

The man nods. "Well, there's always Uru-Baen. Follow this path for a few days, and you should come to the capital. Or you could try Kausta to the South."

She frowns. "I don't suppose you have a map we could borrow?"

"I should tell you, my lady, that that lance was not mean to be wielded on foot. It requires a...suitable mount." The archmage smiles, and pats Saphira on the neck. "I think we have one, though."

Lu-Tze

The Sweeper is shocked at the appearance of the elven queen, staying perfectly still in her presence. "Elves? Here? We are in trouble, aren't we?"
