Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
Aw, thanks for the well-wishes. *hugs DR*
I feel much better after a nap/listening to some french people babbling (I dunno, it was background noise that didn't require paying attetion since I didn't understand it at all). I've had some broth. Apple sauce actually sounds awesome. I'll have my mom get me some.
I guess the experience is nothing compared to the brain surgery. Though after brain surgery I was on morphine, which was quite helpful. xD

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
When I had my wisdom teeth removed, they prescribed Vicodin. I only had the first pill though. After realizing that Mario hadn't moved for the past 20 minutes, I couldn't stand the thought of taking another. One week after my wisdom teeth were removed, 2 teeth on the top near the front of my mouth had their roots put in (for attaching the fake teeth). Vicodin prescribed again, but I knew I wasn't going to take it. I need to be able to game.

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
They gave me morphine after my appendix surgery when I was 12 and I . . . reacted badly. I don't remember any of it. In fact, I barely remember anything of that week. I think maybe that's why the wisdom tooth surgery looms so much worse. I refused all food for two days, was on the couch for seven days, and sick for three weeks. My face took two months to return to its normal appearance.
I think anesthesia and I are, in general, not friends.Last edited by Dragonrider; 2010-05-03 at 03:24 PM.

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
When I had my wisdom teeth out, there was no way I could game without my Vicodin. Or was I prescribed oxycodone? Whatever. It hurt like hell and gaming was the last thing on my mind.
Ironically, when I tore my foot open by accident last August, I was mostly upset that I tore a hole in one of my good pairs of socks. Yeah, it hurt to have a two-inch-long gash (maybe 5 mm deep? Dunno...) in my foot, but the sock and shoe couldn't heal on their own.
Yes, I realized I just used both English customary and Metric systems in one sentence. That's 'cause I'm 'Merican! In AMERICA, we learn both systems! Though the extent to which we learn Metric depends on the focus of our studies...

I now have a blog. Have a look if you wish. It contains those naughty profanities that you won't find here. If you like what you read send me a PM, or if you don't like it. I'd like to know how many people here read it.

On unrelated note, photo on the bing.com main page is super cute today.

What adverts? I can't find too many using it...
As for quality, I don't care about look.
It does produce somehow "worse" search results than google usually, so I'm sometimes using them both, to see what'll be more interesting.
But the picture's choice is great. Very nice ones..Avatar by KwarkpuddingThe subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing;

Yes, Microsoft are going to have to try quite hard to steal me from Google's vice like grip. The thing is, is that Google's results tend to be very accurate, far more so than Bing's are.
EDIT: That hedgehog is stupidly cute though. I approve, especially as it's now my birthday.Last edited by Eldpollard; 2010-05-03 at 06:32 PM.

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
Oh. Guess what.
I found out that the previous owners of the house I'm in (my parent's house) had a teenage son just younger than I am, who committed suicide. In the room next to mine (which is the basement. I'm the only one who sleeps in the basement).
It's a really creepy story.I'm gone for a couple of years!

Pssshhh. A suicidal teenager's ghost is fairly easy to keep out of the house.
Unless he wasn't really suicidal, but got killed, and you're his large-breasted, red-headed, slightly crazy little sister. But then you shouldn't worry, since the tall, athletic guy that you've had a mutual crush on for a while will come and exorcise your big brother when he's gone insane and tries to kill you from beyond the grave.

No...I'm not his sister, I don't think. If he were still alive, he could be my dad or my uncle, since he would only be about 37 or something. My dad's just over 40.
But, since ghosts don't really age, I finished getting dressed.I'm gone for a couple of years!

In response to Phase's comment. Plus, since my laptop's in my room, I post as I get dressed.
No reason.

Anyway, getting back on topic:
I think leather jackets look so cool. I love mine. I would wear it all the time if it matched more than two thirds of my clothes.I'm gone for a couple of years!

That's what you call getting back on topic?
Leather jackets are cool. I only wear my blue cotton jacket myself, though. I try to always wear blue, but sometimes I forget and put on my black jacket instead.

Where do you get Blue leather?
I like my leather jacket, but it's so hot around here, that I hardly ever have cause to wear it.
IB tests start tomorrow around here. I should probably be panicking, ah? Though I've done plenty of studying.
And our house used to be haunted, but the ghost got bored and left.

I don't think anyone mentioned blue leather.
IB testing? I'm afraid I don't know what that is. AP testing starts tomorrow for me. I'm not too worried about that. I always do quite well on tests.

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
Ah. I missed the word cotton. Though, what good is a cotton jacket? They wouldn't be especially warm or anything.
IB is sort of like that, in testing at least. More writing and short answer, less multiple choice. It's on a 7 point scale, and supposed to be hard. Though the only one I'm concerned about is Spanish.

Re: Deth Muncher's Destructive and Meandering Random Banter #141
So, in Senior Year, I took 6 AP classes (and one College Level class, (I was the only one to get an "A" in it out of my classmates) (so I had to take an early morning and an after school class also), in High School. My cousin and friends took IB classes. They were complaining about how hard their homework was, so I took a look at their homework.
I found out that IB and AP classes are pretty much exactly the same, except IB has more essays (Except English; the Senior English Lit/Lang teacher gave out more essays in her AP classes), and that their homework is really really easy. Or it could have just been IB was new, so the easy teachers taught it, while all the hardest teachers in the school taught AP.
Maybe it was just me.
When IB was first introduced at my school, I looked at the coursework, and the specific classes looked boring. Like, given the courses they require you to take, it moves you towards either being a scientist or a teacher. Forutnately, though, IB classes have less students than AP or Honors or regular classes (at least in my school), so they have more time with the teacher so it helps you learn more.
However, since I didn't want to be a teacher or a scientist (I'm working on both a Masters as a Mechanical Engineer, and getting a Doctorate in Medicine), I figured that IB classes weren't for me.

Six AP classes? Senior year? You, Viola, are crazy.
(I'm taking 4 this year, and 3 next year.)
I'm puzzled about Recaiden too. Maybe we should talk to him about this?
