I think with your departure, GLoG/Acro/Nexus..... whatever will be left wiith a large wound that will only heal with your return, which by then most of the people here will likely be gone, and only a few will even remember who you are, or that you had really great characters.

Now I'm depressed.

Please don't be depressed. Depression is sad, and sad things are not happy.
Also, that's the fun part, I guess. I'll be able to start all over after everybody has completely forgotten me. See? There's a good side to that.

Fine: since the event was not contingent on my character being there, I decided to retcon her out, especially since I wouldn't be there for a couple of days after this.

And could also mean the character was withdrawn after the first meeting, to avoid such repercussions.

Unless someone specifically requests a retcon, there's no reason to assume you should do so.

The point is, I reconsidered, and in hindsight, thought this was a bad time to be introducing any of my characters. Or playing any of them, for that matter.

So I played soccer in my best dress (family up to 2^nd cousins-in-laws on one side) today, guys vs gals.

We won, of course (because, even though we were outnumbered 2:1, and even though they had some Mexicans on their team, everyone knows that girls can run faster and are more flexible than guys, so we won.)

Speaking of which, I just had ideas for the first 5 characters when I get back. No, I won't tell anyone, because then someone will copy my ideas and then the entire Nexus will be poplulated with my character ideas before I can get back. ()

And, really, it's not that I'm a good roleplayer, because I'm not any better than anyone else; it's just that I have eleventy-four bajillion characters, whereas ('most) everyone else has less than a hundred. (In fact, I think some people here have ~5 or less. )

I was reading along the diplomat stuff between DC and Fan, they were talking about power sources, and suddenly there is a threat from space, and they are talking about preventing anybody who's not in the government from being involved in space travel?
