Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT
Due to the size of both teams, and a lack of foresight on my part, a team wins once they have depleted their opponents team down by seven.
Carry on.Last edited by TheLaughingMan; 2010-08-03 at 10:08 PM.

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
Who are the villagers, who are the wolves? You labelled the team with villagers "evil" and the team with wolves "good"
I'm confused on which one I'm supposed to pretend to be!

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
Pretend to be the Empire, of course.
As to my stupidity, yep, there are quite some wolves in this game. But there are more Stormtroopers than Rebels, so... yeah.
Anymore questions before the train wreck begins?Last edited by TheLaughingMan; 2010-08-03 at 11:15 PM.

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
They're pretty much your standard weapon. Allows you to lynch. You can break own your blaster into one scrap, but your lynch won't count for the day.
You can pass scraps to other players, so if you find the Engineer or Solo, jackpot.
They can only make one item per night, though, so don't worry about it.Last edited by TheLaughingMan; 2010-08-04 at 01:17 AM.

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
Yep. You're issued a new blaster the next day.
EDIT: Changed it to two scraps after realizing how broken that would be.
EDITEDIT: Changed it to one after realizing two is still pretty broken.Last edited by TheLaughingMan; 2010-08-04 at 01:17 AM.

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
Alright. I'm going to be roleplaying a Dark Trooper, and no, this has nothing to do with my role. Link to the wiki is below. If anyone asks, it's Phase 0, the only one that is actually still a Stormtrooper.

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
Let us begin.
(Narration in Spoiler tags)
SpoilerPrologue:
"Don't worry, men. It'll just be a routine search. You'll be fine."
Lt. Lachen Mensch was a bit distraught. The rookies on his regiment had been sent out to reenforce their numbers, and yet were hardly trained to shoot a blaster. He sighed deeply. This small regiment was one of the last of the illustrious 503rd. In the days of the Republic, the 503rd was one of the most decorated fleets in the galaxy. Now their numbers could be counted off on fingers. It was a sorry sight.
"Alright then. Move out. We won't have Solo escape our grasp this time." Lt. Mensch said sternly. The troopers complied, and marched their way over to the rogue ship. It was a beautiful ship, the likes of which the 503rd had never seen. It was a disc shaped ship, fortified with two blaster cannons on either side of it. The deck alone could hold the entirety of the 503rd, and probably a dozen more. The 503rd readied their weapons, and cautiously, a few men walked inside.
The inside of the ship was a bit more crowded than they'd previously believed. The twisting passages seemed to take an eternity to traverse, though no doubt this was in favor of Solo. The men decided to split up, so to cover more ground.
Number Nineteen was a weak-willed trooper, to the displeasure of his superiors and squad mates. Slip-ups and lack of spine had closed off every exit to this mechanical prison. Loneliness and frustration were no strangers to Nineteen, and, he feared, may never leave him. As he trudged through the seemingly abandoned ship, he put this behind him. This was a chance to redeem himself to his comrades, and show them the courage that lay within him. Finally, he might leave his problems behind.
The blast that killed Nineteen came quickly and suddenly, Nineteen could only reel in horror, his demise imminent. Every fiber of his being writhed in pain, and he had only a few moments left. He could only strain himself to hear the last words of his life.
"Well what do you know. A disguise. And to think you doubted me." he heard Solo say playfully.
"Is everything okay in there?" the group outside shouted.
"Uh, yeah, everything's fine. We took care of 'em. They put up quite a fight."
"Great job, Nineteen," Twenty said warmly. "You might be of real use if you keep pulling stunts like that."
The group returned to their stations for debriefing, leaving the rebels to their devices.
The death of Nineteen would not be reported for another week, and by that time, it would be too late.
Dayshift 1 Start.
SPECIAL NOTE: Due to the nature of this game, I have some new options for you. Be sure to read over my previous posts as well.
PM:
PM Inventory to get a readout on your current items.
PM Break (weapon) to break down your current weapon into scrap. You'll receive the amount of scrap proportional to the item. (Used weapons give out 1 scrap each)
PM Look up (thing) to get a description on a weapon, item, person or so forth. No, this is not a scry option. It functions more like a help option.
Remember, you can post or PM me any time if you don't understand any part of the game. Good luck.Last edited by TheLaughingMan; 2010-08-04 at 03:01 PM.

Am I to understand that you can do all three of those every day? (and what information do you get on a person?)

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
It's just a help function. It won't tell you anything you can't read from here. Though I suppose some back story bits for the non-rp crowd wouldn't hurt.
And as for the first question, you can break one item per day, but you can look up things and check your inventory all you want.Previous Avatars:

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
“Seriously, though, would it break the budget to put some usable sights on these things?” Stormtrooper 8 waved his blaster in the air dramatically. “It’s bad enough we have to wear these helmets with the built-in shades, but then they make it so we can’t even see down the scope? How do they expect us to hit anything?”
"Well, I can’t do anything about it," Stormtrooper 22 responded.
“I know that. I told Vader about it, and you know what he said?” He puffed himself up in his best impression of Lord Vader. “ ‘Crosshairs are INSIGNIFICANT next to the POWER of the Force, whoooo, waaaah.’ I swear, if it were up to that guy, we wouldn't even have turrets.”
“Hey, don’t knock on Vader, he’s a badass. You know he choked out Motti during a conference the other day?"
“Seriously?”
“Yeah, Motti started trashtalking the Force, and Vader choked him out with it, it was awesome!"
“You mean he actually used the Force for something? Man, I can’t believe I missed that!”
The discussion was interrupted by a sudden burst of blaster fire. Stormtroopers 8 and 22 dove for cover, returning fire at their unseen adversary. When the firestorm eased, Stormtrooper 8 risked a glance at his opponent.
“Lex-kat, what the hell!” He shouted as Stormtrooper 3 disappeared around a corner.
"That wasLex-kat?"
“Yeah, what was that all about?”
The two Stormtroopers dusted themselves off, checking their suits for damage. They walked in silence for a while, anticipating another senseless attack.
Finally, Stormtrooper 22 broke the silence. “I guess it’s a good thing she couldn’t aim, huh?" Stormtrooper 8’s expression was mercifully hidden by his helmet.
Wow, that's a lot of color. I wasn't expecting that.Last edited by Internet Flea; 2010-08-05 at 04:35 AM.

Re: Ballad of the 503rd: Star Wars WW
Rade Harlow had always been dedicated to the Empire, all his short eighteen years. His parents had distilled a love for the Storm Troopers in him; years before, when the Corps had been elusively clones, during the Clone Wars, their lives had been saved in Imperial City during the Seps invasion.
So they had supported him without question when, at the age of seventeen, he enlisted.
And he had remained faithful throughout, especially as he had gained prestige. Enough now to be here.
But Rade knew well enough that some of his fellow Troopers did not uphold the honor to which they were defending.
They sickened him.

You will never have the luxury of a dull ache.
You must suffer through the intricacy of feeling too much"
