You can't tell Orange's age; if they're twenty or more, it's pretty sad that they decided to start cutting up an eight-year-old's hair.

If they're sixteen or younger, I wouldn't call it so much "evil" as "par for the course" =/ I've heard of similar things happening in my street, so it might not be that big of a deal for me. *shrugs*

No, Demetri's only starting to awaken his sorcerer abilities. The most he can do is change the color of his blanket, or turn a tiny bit of rain into hail/ice/snow.

Blondie's bullying Demetri because he's a jerk and Demetri's an easy target. He's physically weak, and all the other kids in the orphanage see him as, "That creepy albino (Or part-Drow; quite a few people assume he's part Drow because he's sensitive to sunlight and has white hair, which is part of the reason he was abandoned) kid who dresses like a ghost and might be a sorcerer and doesn't like to talk to people and plays with his toy boat and the rats all day long in the corner instead."

They don't seem to realize that Demetri doesn't talk to them because they're mean to him...
