My past experience with the IEEE has shown that it's at least 30% lolcat, so you really shouldn't be surprised.

Because kittiesesesisises garner click-throughs, that's why! Don't you? Don't you garner clicky-wicky-throughs with your fuzzy wuzzy kitty piccies! . . .
    (time passes)
. . .*ahem!* sorry. It's quite amusing to see a story on a news site, which earlier in the day had low click-through ranking and a relevant picture as its link, upgrade its standing in the "most read" list after substituting a stock photo of a cat. Repeatable phenomenon, too. Nowadays I'm watching the relative rankings of controversial stories (politics, etc.) versus feel-good stories garnished with a cat photo. So far love is still outselling hate.

Uhh... I feel like I haven't posted here for days, mostly because I've been too absorbed by schoolwork, the most notable being preparing for a political debate we had today (I bested my opponents in the environmental questions big time). Puh, I'm sort of exhausted...

The real question is, "why not?"

And for a helpful answer cats make for good advertising, look how cute they are.

EDIT: That's a lot of cat pictures.

    Jeez.

    *sighs*

My stupid family. It overbooked itself. Cousins from Texas are coming up so we were going to make some pizza and have it at my aunts. No problem. Uncle found out about this and invited more cousins. Cousins invited cousin. Cousin invited BF. Uncle told aunt (his sister) to make pasta for all these people.

As someone in my family would say, "Mamma mia!" Its like Christmas in September.

Oh, I wouldn't say that they're the worst they're just a bit foolish. Silly sons (and daughter and grandkids and great-grandkids) of immigrants that they are.

It varies, mainly between size, amount of colours and to a degree, where you get it done.

They vary way too widely to really give you an accurate guess. The best I can is be prepared to spend more than at least $100 (best to overshoot, rather than find out you don't have enough money on hand). Tattoos aren't something you want to skimp on. The last thing you want is your awesome tattoo turning into an unrecognizable mess of ink because you went for the budget option.

You're probably going to have to ask around various parlours with that picture and see what they quote you. Double benefit in that you get to see the parlour you'll be getting inked in.

If you trust her abilities, go for it.

$500 sounds like it should be plenty, what's the worst that can happen? It costs less and all of a sudden you've got some extra spending cash?
