    Here's a thought. Maybe the Bibliography's aura is like that of a descending page/abyssal? The spells would be more powerful under that condition, which would explain how Ben's Optic Blade cut up Roy's.

    I think that's more the effects of a Whitebox will be more powerful than an equivalent Page spell. Up until Bibliography, though, no one could duplicate Page spells, so there wasn't really any way to tell unless they were analagous powers, ie if Jupiter could fly with the Hero's cape, then it's faster/ more maneuverable than a page spell granting flight.
