Nah, as a paladin Kore's going to have insane Will saves, which is what you need against most psi-powers. Also, he's got enough hit points to survive a rope being fused to his neck.

On the other hand, we obviously haven't seen enough of Psimax's other capabilities to judge. He might just be a 3rd level character who's maxed out as a Psion the same way MM is as a fighter.

Also, looking at him, he has lousy hit points. Kore could kill, or at least severely wound him with a single firing of his Gatling crossbows.

Updates are Tues/Fri, today is neither. That combined with Thunt's tweet about how he is "Drawing Live. x2 workload today." means that we are probably also getting our normally scheduled update tomorrow.

No. Comics exist solely for the enjoyment of the readers (who don't have to pay a dime) and artists should slave away everyday to provide for their fanbase.

I was sort of hoping the x2 workload meant he was FINALLY finishing the Tempts Fate strip. Ah, well. I'll check out the book if they offer a Kindle preview.

I'm familiar with the series through a friend, and based on his description I'm not touching the first book until the series is done. To my understanding the guy is a slower writer than GRRM and Thunt combined.

If we get an update tomorrow I'll be less irate, though as someone else pointed out, he's several months behind on tempts fate still, it would have been nice to see him putting any extra effort towards that instead, given how much money people donate towards that cause. But whatever.

In addition to what Reverent-One said (which he is right about), why shouldn't he get to make a purely joke-strip every once in a while?
A purely joke strip is one thing. I wouldn't mind that. I read several comics with ongoing storylines interrupted by smaller joke strips. This is blatant advertisement, not a gag strip, not anything particularly funny or interesting except to advertise a book.

Look... If Thunt likes the author, what is so bad about him spreading the word? He is endorsing something that he enjoys both to support the author and spread the word about it to a demographic that he believes will also enjoy the book.

To my knowledge, he isn't being paid for this so it isn't like hes whoring out. Though hes done it atleast once in the past (right around the time I started reading actually), it isn't something he does often. Even if we don't get an update tomorrow, whats the big deal? Oh teh noes, we've slipped one page behind on a free webcomic that (now) updates on a regular basis.

    Edit: Advertisement alternate reality nitpick/observation...

Note that Fumbles is not scarred, Ears does not have his axe/armor and Dies is with the group in this reality. Note also that Complains is still part demon despite the group apparently having never gone to Brassmoon in this reality.

He also still has all his fingers.

But since the part demon thing was a result of the shield they don't have to go to Brassmoon for it to happen, so at some point someone hit the Shield and the transformation head things came out and the demon one still hit Names. And someone still halted the transformation, somehow.

Also, if I was Thunt, I would have put Chief in this strip just to be a jerk.

That's a very nasty trap - especially for otherwise competent dungeoneers. The better you are, the likelyhood of overcoming this room is smaller.

I need to write this one down.
