Going and watching Black Swan could give you some interesting ideas, too ...although then it could end up being a horror campaign

I'm still amazed at the idea of a ballet horror film.

Hmm... Could nearly tie into my old "Gorgeous, charismatic, likable bad guy vs. plain, unsociable, unlikable good/non-bad guy" idea... (based on a true story!)

In case I get to see Black Swan anytime soon I just may get to working on this. With more free time coming up and a wish to do a campaign of my own, that is as good idea as any

Re: D&D Demotivators: Return to Unnormal
Sweet Zombie Jebus, Batman! I was wondering where that was! I vaguely remember it from ages ago, just when I was popping into the homebrew section from time to time. I though I was remembering something from the old WotC mature boards. Ah, the mature boards; simultaneously everything conceptually wrong and yet awesome about those forums. I learned the board-killing question there, and if I could ever find the Succubus Master prestige class or stats for the orgasmoloth again... well, then I could die a happy man, I tell ye what.

Re: D&D Demotivators: Return to Unnormal
Secon... Hold on. Am I the brain bleach dealer, or the best customer? I forget. Anywho, what strength? Celebrity goof-up strength, or Eldritch horror? Personally, I like to go with a nice #52, where #1 is Celebrity goof-up, and #45 is Eldritch Horror. Although I've got bleaches ranging up to #150, if need be.

"Reach down into your heart and you'll find many reasons to fight. Survival. Honor. Glory. But what about those who feel it's their duty to protect the innocent? There you'll find a warrior savage enough to match any dragon, and in the end, they'll retain what the others won't. Their humanity."

Re: D&D Demotivators: Return to Unnormal
The Nymphology (Mongoose publishing, I believe) has the 'creature of lust' template that could be slapped onto any celestial being, showing that they're from the plane of lust. Though lust on its own is often seen as evil by all the good-types, it could be interpreted as being sexuality in general. :D

Re: D&D Demotivators: Return to Unnormal
The BoEF did an alright job of taking the topic seriously enough to provide a framework in which such stories could be told and for them to be meaningful. For me, the book is both strangely tantalizing and a little abhorrent, where when I'm reading it I start thinking about optimizing characters to take advantage of certain feats and whatnots...
yeah...

Re: D&D Demotivators: Return to Unnormal
It certainly is a very powerful motivator, and one that quite often has led people to do amazingly stupid things.
And doing stupid things is the bread and butter of the PCs.
Saving the princess from the dragon is all about sex.
If you manage to find a way to come up with sexualy motivated plots without getting akward, you've come upon the best plot hook since "demons invade the world and want to destroy everything".We are not standing on the shoulders of giants, but on very tall tower of other dwarves.
