It usually snows in Armidale once or twice a year. Once it snowed in May. Even better: once it snowed in November, and then same time next year there was a 40+ heatwave.

Yeah, we also get the occasional snowy days in May and November. And the months in between, obviously.

Then go look at the hail pictures of Serp, we had roughly hail the size of that all over the country tonight. And now we're back to the heat wave.

Funny thing, Vlissingen managed to dodge each and every thunderstorm. It was clammy and sweaty all night but nothing more then a few drops of rain where buienradar looked like a anime fighting scene all over the country. I had a sad as I love thunderstorms.

Toronto get disappointing winters. It comes with being one of the biggest cities on the continent, AND next to the lake. We just don't get the same precipitation!

The only hail I remember hearing about was a few years ago.
EDIT: Also, I know it snows in the San Bernadino Mountains in the winter, but not very much.

I do remember it hailing in my town about 6 years ago, though it was really small hail. Like, half an inch in diameter. The other time I remember ice falling from the sky, I'm pretty sure someone was pouring bags of ice cubes from the top of a building. But still.

If you really want to know, I live South of the aforementioned San Bernadino Mountains, in the general area around Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga.

Anything more specific than that and I might as well tell you my home address.

A lot of couples mark Xth month anniversaries, for whatever reason. It might just be an American thing, IDK. I don't understand it either if that helps.

This is how I've looked for the past year, although here I'm slightly more unshaven than usual. Location: Niagara Falls, US side.

For some reason I did not have my usual winter coat on either and instead sported my suits-all-weather-as-bad jacket.

People do it over here as well, though I would be inclined to guess the practice began in America.
Every time someone I know mentions it I point out the annum=year thing.
