GenPlants are of course the superior form of multipurpose prosthetic and bionic enhancement, and one would need to be truly insane not to possess at least one in their body somewhere. In fact, GenBodies are now becoming more popular as genetic enhancement is better explored as a field. Someday GenBodies may outperform GenPlants, but for now this is only the case in modified fetuses, so GenPlants still rule supreme.

Actually I'd already done a joke or two with RS in that direction so I decided to keep going with it because it's easier than thinking up new material I mean because Gareth keeps requesting romantic subplots.

By the way, on the last Gencrawl at the end, one of the undead is not positioned the same on the map as it is on the minimap (on the minimap, it's shown to be closer to the red line than it is on the main map).

Edit: Come to think of it, SF and PB's relative positions on the main map and minimap don't match either.

Hm... SF/PB are properly placed, i'd say, but the undead is one square too far behind, yeah. On the map he moved directly next to the [Purple Stuff], so i placed him there on the minimap as well. Doesn't quite match up distance-wise though.

Let's call that a rounding error.

Is there any way to sort out all the various mini stories on the main page? I'm not fond of having to weed out the stories I'm not interested in to get at the ones that I am. As of now I have to go to the specific linked archives to catch up on updates.

Does wordpress do top bars? If so, you could put a top bar up like we have on the wiki with a link to the latest issue of each category, preferably displaying just as the category title (GenGame, GenCrawl, Filler, etc.) and that should stay mostly efficient until we start adding boatloads of categories (which could happen...).

Hm... i think it can, but i'd rather avoid making the page even longer than it already is. It has been a concious decision to have the navigation on the side instead of on the top/bottom, specifically to avoid empty spaces left and right and overly long pages.

I'll admit I'm not very good at graphic design, and I don't tend to notice design elements a lot, but webcomics that have a bunch of crap at the top of their site is one of my pet peeves. I just don't like it.

Not entirely sure what your problem is with that specifically, but no big deal.

The next question might be whether the main page really needs to show the comics or not. I know that I always end up clicking on each comic to view them individually, and so if clutter becomes an issue we could just reformat the main page entirely. Perhaps make it a grid of the little sidebar entries to keep everything compact and easy to see what's updated or not. Seems like something we'd might want to do some sort of a poll on before making drastic changes like that, but it would definitely be efficient and solve the clutter issue.

Huh, you're right. Didn't even notice that. (And apparently so did no one else. Or didn't bother to tell me. )

I swear i'll get back to updating that... just need better time management skills. The next update is pretty much planned out, too.
Incidentally: What's the general opinion on GenGame, the Showdown and the Crawl anyway? (Make some use of this thread while we got this particular drought.)

The sidestories need more updates as always, Gengame has gotten back to a quick update schedule (quite like I remember back when I first discovered the comic).

The eternal challenge of making BH look feminine without giving her extreme levels of secondary or tertiary sexual characteristics continues.

still kinda miss the old days of gengame with the simple sprites and the larger pannels, but that always happens with things that change a lot over time i guess. still the new stuff looks great, so i'm deffinetly not calling it an art downgrade by any means.

biggest question i have for gengame is how to get more readers/posters. we need better advertising.
